Safe, Spoiled & Loved Here

A Safe, Loving Home Away From Home We know your dog is not “just a pet.” They are family, and trusting someone else with them is a big decision. When your dog stays with us, they will be treated with the same love, patience, respect, and attention we would want for our own animals. My wife and I both work from home, which means your dog will rarely be alone and can receive plenty of companionship throughout the day. Whether they are happiest following us from room to room, getting endless hugs and belly rubs, playing outside, or relaxing quietly, we will make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved. Dogs staying with us can even have their own room, giving them a peaceful space to sleep, decompress, or simply enjoy some quiet time when needed. We also have a yard with a pool. Dogs who love the water are welcome to swim and have fun, but they will never be left outside or near the pool unsupervised. Their safety will always come first. What Sets Us Apart From Other Sitters? We recently had to say goodbye to our three dogs, who were a huge part of our family and our everyday lives. Our home feels different without them, and while no animal could ever replace them, caring for other people’s dogs gives us another way to share the love, attention, and affection we still have to give. We are not simply looking to keep your dog fed and watched while you are away. We want them to feel like they are part of our family during their stay. We pay attention to their personality, routine, comfort level, and individual needs so they can feel as relaxed and at home as possible. You can enjoy your time away knowing your dog is in a home where they will be protected, supervised, loved, and probably a little spoiled—in the best possible way.

I really am so impressed with both chris and Rover. As being new to the area and having to commute into NYC, I was not sure what I was going to do with my dog. I work around 8-10 hours a day so being able to find someone who was flexible and available to walk my boxer was very important. Chris was not only available at times when I had to work later than usual, but was great with my dog. Walked him, played with him and made sure he was okay. I am beyond grateful and would use Chris again in the future! Highly recommend!!

Schedule

Pet care fits naturally into our daily routine because my wife and I both work from home. That allows us to provide frequent potty breaks, meals on schedule, supervised outdoor time, playtime, walks, and plenty of attention throughout the day. Your dog will not be left alone for long periods or treated like an item on a checklist. We can adjust our routine around their normal schedule, energy level, and comfort needs. Whether they want constant companionship, a quiet room to relax in, time in the yard, or supervised swimming in the pool, we are able to give them consistent care, safety, and affection from morning through evening.

Safety, trust & environment

In our home, pets are treated like part of the family. My wife and I both work from home, so we are able to provide frequent potty breaks, meals on schedule, playtime, walks, supervised outdoor time, and plenty of affection throughout the day. We follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding instructions, medications, exercise needs, sleeping preferences, and any special care requests. Pets can also have their own private room if they need a quiet, comfortable space to relax. We have a yard and a pool for dogs who enjoy swimming, but pets are never left outside or near the pool unsupervised. Safety always comes first. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect both the pet’s routine and the owner’s space. I make sure they are fed, exercised, comfortable, and given plenty of attention while keeping the home clean, secure, and exactly as it was left. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel confident that their pet is safe, happy, and well cared for.

A typical day

Every pet has their own personality, so I’ll tailor our activities to what makes them happiest. For energetic dogs, we can enjoy walks, runs, outdoor playtime, and plenty of exploring. For dogs who prefer staying closer to home, we can play tug-of-war, relax together, or settle in for an unlimited supply of pets and belly rubs. I also love taking fun selfies, photos, and videos throughout their stay so you can see how they’re doing and feel connected while you’re away. Whether your dog wants an active adventure buddy or a full-time cuddle companion, they’ll receive plenty of attention, affection, and fun.

Before caring for your pet, I’d like to understand their normal routine, personality, and anything that helps them feel safe and comfortable. Important details include their feeding and bathroom schedule, exercise needs, medications, allergies, sleeping preferences, and whether they are fully house-trained. I’d also like to know how they behave around new people, other animals, children, food, toys, and unfamiliar environments. Please let me know about any anxiety, fears, triggers, escape habits, resource guarding, aggression, or past incidents—even if they seem minor. The more honest information I have, the better I can protect your pet and make their stay enjoyable. Since we have a yard and pool, it is also important to know whether your dog can swim and how comfortable they are around water. They will always be supervised, regardless of their swimming ability. I also ask for current veterinary information, emergency contacts, and clear instructions for handling any unexpected situation. My goal is to keep your pet’s routine as familiar as possible while making sure they feel safe, loved, and at home.
