Experienced dog sitters & explorers
Laura and I are experienced Rover sitters and dog owners. We understand how challenging it can be to have a reliable carer for your dog that you can trust, allowing you to make the most of your time away. We know how important it is to be flexible in catering to your dog's requirements, whether that be medications, toilet routine, exercise or training. Chris is something of a dog whisperer and may be able to offer training in addition to boarding to work on specific aspects of obedience with prior agreement (please check out some of the reviews). Our baby, TJ, was a 2025 addition to the family and has grown up around our dogs. Naturally, we cannot board dogs with a history of agression towards other pets or children.

Chris took excellent care of our dogs and as always he kept us up to date with everything including lots of lovely photos. He is very trustworthy and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.
Could not have been happier with the way in way Chris communicated with us and the dogs thoroughly enjoyed their walk with him. He kept us updated and sent lots of lovely pics. Would highly recommend.
This is the second time using Chris and Laura, I had my dogs stay for 9 nights before they came into Rover. I can’t praise them highly enough, I paid for extra training for them as Chris is so wonderful at training he has a great connection with dogs and I wouldn’t trust someone more than with my two to look after them and train them. They came home with better manners and my youngest starting to off lead walk which is amazing! If you are thinking about boarding your dogs honestly look no further as I wouldn’t put mine anywhere else.
Very good communication with Chris & Laura. Mabel was well looked after & even dropped home for us at the end of the day care.
Chris and Laura were outstanding! I received lots of updates on my pup, and he always looked happy!! They took him on tons of walks with exercise daily. Honestly, not sure if my pup wanted to come home lol!! I would definitely book again!
Chris and Laura helped out with my spaniel last minute. Chris was understanding of the situation I was in and took many notes on whisky for the care during his stay. They were great with whisky and kept me updated with messages and pictures/videos. I’m sure whisky had a better holiday than me 😂. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again and I’m sure whisky would love it. Thanks guys

Schedule
Daily routine - awake 0700-0730, breakfast 0800, followed by a morning walk, afternoon walk before dinner, dinner 1700, evening shorter walk if required, garden breaks 1 - 2 hour intervals throughout the day, bedtime around 2300.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a huge (0.25 acre) enclosed grass garden, ideal for training off-lead walking and recall. We are lucky to have locally accessible fields suitable for both on and off lead walks, depending on recall. If your dog travels well, local beaches and forests make for exciting longer adventures.

A typical day
Laura and I are currently balancing parental leave and part-time WFH, so there will always be at least one of us at home, if we're not out on a walk.
