Oak Park Sitter 😊

Hello! There’s a quote I always use that says “dogs are lessons in unconditional love and cats are a lesson in consent.” If an animal is uncomfortable in a new environment or with other people, I will usually let them be, but am available when they’re ready to warm up to me. I’ve successfully trained dogs since I was a kid and adhere to which ever training style a pet’s parent uses. I make sure to check in with dogs frequently to see if they need to potty. And of course, loving on dogs is one of the best gifts we get to have with them.

Chris was great! He took care of our cattledog for 10 days. She stayed with him at his house and got out for plenty of walks. Chris was communicative and sent us plenty of photos. Would highly recommend Chris to take care of your furbabies!

Chris took excellent care of our fur baby! We appreciated the videos he sent us during her week long stay . Our dog definitely enjoyed her time away from home, she made a new friend! Our family will definitely book with Chris again in the future.

Doggy Day Care • Sep 29, 2025

We had confirmed Rocky’s stay with Chris a week and a half before our event, only for him to text us at the last minute saying he couldn’t take the booking. We had been talking about this October booking since our our first meet and greet in September because it was important for us to find booking. We also set up a day care day in September to see how things would go for boarding. Almost 2 weeks after his day care visit, He explained that his roommates felt Rocky wasn’t a good fit and mentioned barking when left alone but what’s upsetting is that he didn’t share this with us sooner, despite us checking in multiple times to see how things were going. This left us scrambling without enough time to find another sitter. Even more concerning, Rocky’s first stay at Chris’s house involved being left alone, which is incredibly irresponsible. Pets especially in a brand-new environment need reassurance and care, not isolation. Leaving him unattended only heightened Rocky’s anxiety and made the experience stressful for everyone. Because of this, I truly cannot recommend Chris for pet boarding. His lack of communication and disregard for Rocky’s well-being made for a very disappointing experience, and I’d suggest looking elsewhere if you want someone reliable and caring for your pet.

I am usually home every day working. I do have classes on campus for an hour and 15 minutes during the day at Sac State (currently working on a masters in psychology to be a therapist). I do have to be in the office on Friday’s however. But I am flexible and I am happy to work with you to meet your and your baby’s needs.

Safety, trust & environment

I can care for pets in my home and depending on the location, in the client’s home. We have a therapy dog that currently lives with us and he is my roommate’s dog.

A typical day

We have a couple of parks around and places to walk to. My backyard is pretty spacious, playing fetch and running around will be a great time. I like to walk to friend’s places around the neighborhood and I would love to take your baby for a walk with me.
