Pet care experience
Calm home, no other pets, WFH
Your dog gets a quiet, pet-free home by the Highline and a person who is around for most of the day. That means real company instead of long stretches alone, and no competing with other dogs for attention. I host one guest at a time. I live by myself, so no kids or other adults running around. No dog-camp chaos, just your dog's own routine in a calm apartment. I keep my client list deliberately small. Rather than a revolving door of one-off stays, I work with a handful of regular dogs whose owners travel often, so your dog returns to a familiar place and a familiar person every time. Every new booking starts with a meet and greet, so we can make sure it's the right fit for your dog. Practicals: Only dogs under 20 lbs, weekends and holiday trips are my specialty. About me: I'm a director at a major financial services firm, originally from Sweden, now settled in New York after several years in London. I've cared for dogs my whole life, and yours will be treated like my own.

Chris sent pictures everyday and was accommodating with my scheduling mishaps. I trusted him with my dog.

My dog had a such a fun time with Chris! Chris was attentive and caring and I didn't have to worry a bit about leaving my dog with him! He was also very punctual - overall such a good experience and would definitely rebook next time!

This is our second time with Chris and he’s been AMAZING. He took a really good care of Ollie, and is really communicative. Will definitely use him again whenever we’re back in NYC and will 100% recommend him

Schedule
I work from home full time and set my own schedule, so care isn't squeezed into a lunch break, it's woven through the whole day. I'm flexible on drop-off and pick-up times, including early mornings and late evenings to fit your travel plans. During stays I keep my own calendar quiet, your dog is the plan.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
Your dog has free run of a quiet apartment and is supervised for most of the day. I don't crate by default, but if your dog is crate-trained and you'd prefer they're crated when I step out for a meeting or errand, just bring their crate and I'm happy to follow your routine. Outside it's on-leash at all times, using your own harness and lead so everything feels familiar. Before every booking I collect your vet's details, proof of up-to-date vaccinations, and an emergency contact, and there's a veterinary hospital nearby. You'll get photo updates throughout the stay so you can see them settling in.
A typical day
Mornings start with a good walk along Hudson River Park, watching the boats. Through the day, regular breaks for play sessions, sniffy walks, or a cuddle on the sofa while I take a call. Afternoons bring a longer, slower walk at their pace, more sniffing than marching. Evenings are calm, dinner on their usual schedule, a last walk, a proper wind-down. If your dog sleeps on the bed at home, they're welcome to here too. At our meet and greet I'll ask what your dog loves most and build their days around it.

- Tell me about their routine: feeding times and food, walk schedule, sleeping arrangements, and any commands you use. The closer I can match home, the faster they settle. Tell me about their personality too, how they handle new places, any separation anxiety, and how they react to dogs on the street, since we'll pass plenty. None of these are dealbreakers, I just care for a nervous dog differently than a confident one. Please bring their own food, bed or blanket, and a favorite toy, familiar smells make a big difference the first night. I have everything else covered.
