I get a minimum of 10000 steps per day and go for long hikes at the weekends, so adding petcare into that routine is very simple! Regular coffee breaks from work also give a great excuse for a toilet break for the four-legged friends!

Keep them in company (me) with some ability to roam around the house (blocked off areas/ closed door where there may be dangers), clean and clear living situation with quite a minimalist setup to reduce the risk of injury or misbehaviour. They're welcome to bring their own toys and will get plenty of attention and engagement from me throughout the day.

A typical day
Lots of walks along the canal and extended walks all over the countryside. Plenty of games of tug-of-war, light training as part of games and tons of attention.

I've previously owned and raised a minischnauzer/ best friend, working together to create a great list of tricks and behaviours to give him (Ernie) a happy life! I've helped friends raise their dogs (golden retriever, springer spaniel, minischnauzers, german short-haired pointers, various terriers).

Chris looked after our 2 year old collie and we would highly recommend! Sulley is a nervous rescue but Chris was great with him and engaged with his training. Great communication and a very happy dog!
