I would like to know everything; their habits, idiosyncrasies, where/how they like to be petted, any medical conditions, how they usually handle different situations, what commands they know,etc. A good friend of mine calls me a dog "whisperer". I've been told that dogs returning to my care start wagging their tails and get excited when they realize I am coming back to them! Each dog/cat I come to know becomes like extended family.

I love walking dogs to local parks and through residential neighborhoods. Playing with dogs and their toys is fun! I flick kibble or treats near dogs to get fussy dogs to begin eating. I talk to dogs using commands or words they are used to hearing and love to pet dogs to watch their eyes close. Your dogs sleeping arrangements are wherever he/she is most comfortable. When dog sitting in YOUR home, I would be able to care for dogs under 50 pounds. Sometimes I will play hide and seek or try to enrich their experience by introducing different ways/uses for things they are familiar with I ask a lot of questions before I dog sit so I know how to keep them relaxed. Feeding times, medication needs, favorite toys and treats, vets phone number, how does your dog like to be petted/played with, what may frighten your dog,etc.
