I grew up with dogs in my household, small and larger. I was fortunate enough to be raised in a family where outdoor activities were a common occurrence. We would snowshoe with the dogs in the winter and take them to the lake in the summer. Currently, I have a senior dog named Kota, who is almost 11 and has arthritis. These days, we tend to have shorter walks on more flat trails but still love to get outside for some activity. I also have a 7-year-old beagle who is still very energetic and active. I do have to adapt to each dogs needs and take pride in being in tune with my dogs and how they are feeling.
