Availability

As a virtual teacher, I have a flexible schedule that allows pet sitting to fit into my daily routine. Because I work from home, I’m able to provide pets with plenty of attention, supervision, potty breaks, walks, and companionship throughout the day instead of leaving them alone for long hours. During the summer (June-July), I currently have availability for weekday bookings only and am unavailable on weekends. I do my best to keep a consistent, calm routine so pets feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while their owners are away!

Safety, trust & environment

I always aim to make pets feel as comfortable, safe, and loved as possible while their owners are away. I will take time with the owners prior to learn each pet’s routine, personality, energy level, and specific needs so I can provide consistent care and help them feel at ease. Whether that means walks, playtime, cuddle time, feeding schedules, medication reminders, or simply keeping them company, I’m happy to adapt to what works best for your pet. Because my apartment has a 20-pound pet limit, most of my services must be provided in clients’ homes. For smaller dogs that meet my apartment requirements, I can also provide care in my home on a case-by-case basis.

Information Chloe V. would like to know about your pet

A typical day

A typical day caring for your dog with me in Lakeview would be relaxed, active, and full of attention throughout the day. Since I work virtually from home, your dog would rarely be left alone and would have lots of companionship, potty breaks, and play built naturally into my schedule. Mornings usually start with a neighborhood walk, breakfast, water refresh, and some calm time while I begin my workday. I’m nearby all day, so dogs get frequent check-ins, cuddles, enrichment toys, and bathroom breaks instead of being crated for long hours. Because there’s no yard, I make up for it with multiple walks and outdoor time. Lakeview is incredibly dog-friendly, with easy access to parks, grassy areas, and long walking routes near the lake. Depending on your dog’s energy level, we may take a relaxed sniff walk, a longer exercise walk, or shorter potty breaks throughout the day. For social and enrichment opportunities nearby, there are places like Belmont Harbor Dog Beach and Lincoln Park within reach for dogs who enjoy being out and about. Afternoons are usually calmer with naps, quiet companionship, playtime, and another walk later in the day. Evenings include dinner, a final longer walk or potty break, and lots of one-on-one attention before pickup. Because my apartment only allows smaller dogs (up to 20 pounds), the environment stays quieter and less overwhelming than larger boarding-style setups. It’s a good fit for dogs who enjoy a home environment, lots of human interaction, consistent supervision, and personalized care rather than being in a large pack all day.

Pet care experience

Hi! I’m a reliable, caring, and detail-oriented pet sitter with experience caring for dogs in both everyday routines and overnight settings. I’ve been helping care for a dachshund for the last 2 years since she was born and have experience with feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, cuddles, and keeping dogs comfortable in their own environment. As a teacher, I’m naturally patient, responsible, organized, and great at sticking to routines which I know is important for pets, too! I understand how important it is for pet parents to feel updated and reassured while they’re away, so I always make communication a priority and treat every pet like they’re my own. Whether your pet loves playtime, walks, snuggles, or just a calm and comforting presence, I’m happy to provide loving care and a safe environment while you’re away!

My husband and I have trusted Chloe to be our dog sitter for the last year and can’t say enough good things about her! Whether it’s taking our dog on walks, playing with her toys, etc. we always know our dog will have a great time with Chloe! She loves our dog as if it were her own. We’d highly recommend her services to anyone!

Chloe was very very loving to my sweet boy apollo. Apollo is rather high energy and Chloe was able to give him everything he needed while I was away! I was so happy to be able to trust her with my fur baby! I would highly recommend!
