As a college student on a pre-vet track, I’m used to balancing a busy schedule while still making time for animals. I have multiple availability blocks throughout the week, which makes it easy for me to fit pet care into my routine. I’m organized and plan ahead, so I can make sure pets get consistent care whether that’s daily walks, feeding, playtime, or check-ins. Caring for animals is already a big part of my life and future career goals, so I naturally prioritize it in my day-to-day routine.

Safety, trust & environment

I care for pets by treating them like family and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. In a client’s home, I stick closely to their usual routine for meals, walks, and playtime so they stay comfortable in their own environment. I’ve had many pets of my own over the years, so I understand how important it is to give them not just the basics like food and water, but also attention, patience, and affection. Every pet has their own personality, and I enjoy getting to know what makes them feel most at ease.

A typical day

A typical day with the pets I watch starts with making sure they’re happy, fed, and comfortable. I begin by checking their food and water, giving them any medications if needed, and spending a few quiet moments with them to build trust and comfort. Throughout the day, I like to include fun activities based on the pet’s personality and energy level. For dogs, that might mean going on a walk, playing fetch, or doing some basic training with treats. If the dog is more relaxed, we might enjoy some cuddle time or a calm stroll around the neighborhood. For cats, I love to engage them with toys like feather wands or laser pointers, and I make sure they have a cozy space to relax. If the cat is social, I’ll spend time petting or brushing them to help them feel cared for. No matter the pet, I always make sure they feel safe, loved, and entertained while their owners are away. I also send regular updates and photos so pet parents know their furry friends are doing great!

Pet care experience

I bring hands-on experience from working in both kennels and animal shelters, where I’ve cared for dogs and cats of all breeds and temperaments. My time in these settings has taught me the importance of routine, trust, and compassion. I also have a unique skill set in caring for exotic animals, making me versatile and prepared for any type of pet. Whether it's a playful puppy, a senior dog needing extra attention, or any other kind of pet that requires specialized care, I’m ready to provide the best care for your furry (or scaly) friend!

Chloe is a fantastic sitter! She went above and beyond taking care of my babies for the weekend. She leaves detailed notes & provided plenty of pictures. My animals love her to much.

Chloe did a fantastic job checking in on my two kitties, Frank and Ozzie. She sent a detailed report of her visit and numerous pictures. The boys seemed to like her a lot! They even got brushed.

Chloe has always done a fantastic job taking care of my fur babies. I have 3 kitties, one of which is a diabetic with other health issues. When sitting for us, Chloe gives him his insulin injections twice a day as well as his other oral medication without any issues. They also have to eat a special diet, and she accommodates that well while following all the instructions I leave for her. She takes time to love on them and sends pictures letting me know they are in good hands.

Chloe is amazing with animals of all kinds! She’s worked in a vet clinic, is studying pet healthcare at Auburn, and has such a natural love for pets. She helped me housesit for a family with a big, rambunctious dog and a raccoon, and handled both with total confidence and care. She even once helped an injured alligator that had been hit by a car—her heart for animals goes way beyond the ordinary. Chloe cares not only for the well-being of all animals but also for the health of their environment and habitat. If you’re looking for someone responsible, experienced, and genuinely loving, Chloe is the one to trust with your pets!
