Vet-Trained Sitter in the Heights

Hi, I'm Chloe! Caring for animals isn't just something I do — it's my career. I worked as a veterinary assistant before moving to Houston, and I'm currently in school to become a licensed veterinary technician. Your pet gets professional-level care on every single visit. WHAT MAKES ME DIFFERENT: I can administer medications by mouth, injection, or IV (dogs AND cats — insulin, fluids, inhalers), recognize early signs of illness, stress, or heat stroke before they become emergencies, and I'm trained in pet first aid/CPR. If your pet is a senior, diabetic, post-surgical, anxious, or “a lot” — I'm the sitter who's genuinely comfortable with that. CAT PARENTS: I'm one of the few sitters in the Heights who can give injectable medications to cats. Diabetic kitties are welcome and loved here. EVERY BOOKING INCLUDES: photo + video updates on every visit through Rover Cards, a detailed report (potty, appetite, meds, mood), and for house sits — mail, plants, trash, and lights so your home looks lived-in. AVAILABILITY: My school schedule keeps me local and flexible — early mornings, midday, evenings, and overnight house sits any day of the week. I live in the Heights, so Rice Military, Washington Ave, Montrose, and Downtown are minutes away. HOW TO START: Message me for a free meet & greet — I'd love to meet your pet, learn their routine, and answer anything before you book. New-client launch rates are in effect for a limited time. I can't wait to meet your crew! 🐾

Safety, trust & environment

I never leave a dog unattended outdoors — even in a fenced yard — because things can happen in seconds. My vet-clinic training means I know what early trouble looks like (heat stress, pain, GI upset, allergic reactions) and what to do about it: I'm trained in pet first aid/CPR, I save your vet's number and the nearest emergency hospital's before our first visit, and you'll hear from me immediately if anything ever seems off. Reactive or anxious dogs are welcome — I move at their pace, follow your protocols exactly, and keep introductions calm and structured. Your home gets the same respect: clean, locked, lights and routines just as you left them.

Chloe went so far above and beyond. I am elated to have had the opportunity to meet and work with her. She paid exceptional mind to my cat, plants, house, and even deep cleaned things around the house on multiple occasions. I could not have felt more at ease leaving my cat under her care. I will absolutely be calling her next time I require a sitter. Thanks so so much Chloe!!!

I had to take a last minute work trip and am so lucky to have found Chloe! She was incredibly communicative, thorough, and caring. She provided tons of updates throughout her stay and I know my boy was in good hands. Super super easy to work with and I know my dog appreciated her coming and spending his birthday with him :) Will absolutely be booking again and absolutely recommend Chloe!

Chloe is amazing! She was really quick to respond and always gave me good updates and pictures about my cat while I was on vacation. He also clearly adores her because I could see he loved cuddling and flopping over for her!

Schedule

I'm generally available for walks and drop-in visits mornings, midday, and evenings most days of the week, and I keep my Rover calendar current so what you see is accurate. One standing block in August: Saturdays 4:30pm–8:30pm; and in September: Saturdays 6:30am-10:30am; are reserved for training with my horse, Martini Henry, as we get ready to start competing. I'm finishing my veterinary technician degree this year, so every visit comes with training most sitters simply don't have: spotting early heat stress, GI upset, pain, or allergic reactions, plus pet first aid/CPR certification. For house sitting, 1–3 night stays are my specialty, though I'll gladly take longer ones too — especially for pets with medical needs, since I manage my own dog Marley's daily medication and specialized diet. Based in the Heights with a car, I easily cover Rice Military, Montrose, Washington Ave, Downtown, River Oaks, and Memorial. Send me your dates!

Before our first booking I'll ask for your pet's daily routine (potty and feeding times), your veterinarian's contact info, and the nearest emergency vet. Beyond the essentials, tell me anything and everything you think matters — no detail is too small: favorite toys, commands, fears, comfort routines, quirks. I use a short pet-information form covering medications, behavior, and feeding so nothing gets missed. For pets on medication: please have the prescription label or dosing schedule handy at our meet & greet — I record exact doses and times so everything is given precisely as your vet intended. And if your dog has any triggers (other dogs, storms, the vacuum, being touched somewhere sore), I want to know before it ever comes up on a walk.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
