As I currently work part-time at Sainsbury’s, my availability can vary slightly from week to week, but I am generally flexible and able to plan ahead. I am available on most days for pet care, especially mornings, afternoons, and evenings depending on my shifts. I am able to fit pet care into my routine easily and can commit to regular walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting where needed. I am organised and will always make sure to plan my schedule properly so your pet receives consistent care, attention, and reliability.

When caring for pets in a pet owner’s home, I always prioritise their safety, comfort, and routine. I follow all instructions carefully to make sure your pet feels secure and stress-free in their familiar environment. I treat every home with respect and make sure everything is kept clean and tidy, including feeding areas, water bowls, litter trays, or kennels. I always ensure doors, gates, and any safety precautions are properly checked before and after visits. I take the time to understand each pet’s personality, needs, and routine, so I can provide care that suits them individually. I aim to build trust with both pets and owners by being reliable, attentive, and calm. Your pet’s wellbeing is my priority at all times, and I will always care for them as if they were my own.

Before caring for a pet, it’s important for me to understand their daily routine, personality, and any specific needs they may have. This helps me provide the best possible care and keep them comfortable and safe. I would like to know: * Their usual feeding times and diet requirements * Any allergies, medical conditions, or medication needs * Their walking routine, including lead behaviour and recall * How they behave around other dogs, people, or children * Any fears, triggers, or things that may stress them (e.g. loud noises, traffic, etc.) * Their favourite toys, activities, and comfort habits * Any house rules (e.g. areas they are not allowed in, sleeping arrangements, etc.) The more I know about your pet, the better I can make them feel at ease and keep their routine consistent. My priority is always to ensure they feel safe, understood, and well cared for while you are away.
A typical day
A typical day caring for a dog would include making sure they are happy, comfortable, and well-exercised throughout the day. I would start with a morning walk to help your dog get fresh air, stretch their legs, and start the day with energy. During the walk, I would let them explore safely, play with toys if appropriate, and make sure they get plenty of exercise. Throughout the day, I would provide feeding at the usual times, fresh water, and lots of attention and companionship so they never feel lonely. I enjoy spending time playing with dogs using their favourite toys, practicing basic commands if requested, and giving them plenty of affection and cuddles. If needed, I would take them for additional walks later in the day, adjusting the pace and distance depending on their age, breed, and energy level. In the evening, I would make sure they are relaxed, comfortable, and settled, with everything clean and prepared for a calm night. My goal is always to make the day enjoyable, active, and stress-free for each dog. 🐾

Hi, I’m Chiara! I’m originally from Italy and currently living in Scotland. I also work part-time at Sainsbury’s, and I’m looking for additional work doing something I genuinely enjoy: caring for animals. I’ve always loved animals, especially dogs and cats. Before the pandemic, I gained experience caring for cats, and although I had to pause because of COVID-19, my passion for pet care has never changed. While I don’t have professional pet care qualifications, I am a responsible, caring, and reliable animal lover who understands how important your pets are to your family.
