Quiet & responsible cat sitter ☀️
🏫 I’m a PhD student at University College Dublin, with a calm and reliable routine. I volunteer with CDPA Ireland 🐾🐈 (Cats & Dogs Protection Association). I have a car 🚗. I’ve been a cat owner since 09/2010 and am the proud human of a calico cat 🖤🧡🤍. After moving to Dublin about a 1.5 years ago, I had to leave her with my parents, where she now lives as their happily spoiled “only daughter”. She was also my pet-therapy companion for many years, and I miss that daily connection with a cat. So we have now weekly videocalls 🐱! Over the years, I’ve cared for her through eye treatments, fevers, antibiotics, anti-fungus, and post-surgery recovery, so I’m comfortable following specific instructions and administering basic care when needed. 🥰 I do love cats and respect their personalities (shy, confident, or opinionated). I'm calm, patient, and attentive, even if a cat is a little moody. I would look after your cat with the same care, respect, and affection I give my own! 🙂 BEFORE BOOKING: make sure your home is a clean and safe environment for working and that you provide a traditional litter tray for you cat(s). I’ll provide my own gloves. Thanks!

Safety, trust & environment
Safety and comfort always come first. In the pet owner's home, I make sure the environment is secure and any specific instructions from the owner followed closely (diet, medication, routines, windows, doors, ...). I pay close attention to each pet's body language and personality, giving them space if they're shy and affection if they're more sociable. I keep the owner updated with messages or photos (videos sometimes), and I have a plan in place in case of an emergency, including knowing the nearest vet.

Chiara house sat for us while we were away for 2 nights. She looked after our two cats and they had a wonderful time! They were well taken care of, given a lot of attention and we came back to a tidy house. Chiara had great communication with us throughout the 2 days and sent lots of photos. We would definitely recommend her to any cat owners who need someone to look after their kitties!
Highly recommend Chiara for pet care! She looked after both our cats with such care and attention. She kept us updated throughout with photos and messages, so we never had to worry. The cats absolutely loved her, and that says everything; they're usually pretty picky! Chiara is reliable, trustworthy, and genuinely cares about the animals in her care. We'll definitely be booking her again.

Schedule
My schedule is flexible, so I'm able to cover feeding times needs and companionship throughout the day. I tend to work until 7pm, but I can feed the pet and go back later - it's totally fine with me.
- CatsChiara Maria can host up to 2 drop-ins per day
- During the meet & greet meeting of a new pet, it's helpful for me to know: their temperament (shy, energetic, reactive to other animals or strangers), any medical conditions, allergies, or medications, their feeding schedule and dietary restrictions, potty/walking routine, and any commands or cues they respond to. I also like to know if they have specific fears or triggers (loud noises, other animals, being left alone) so I can make them feel as comfortable as possible. Any details about their personality or quirks are always welcome, it helps me build trust with them faster.
