Information Cheyenne N. would like to know about your pet

Knowing the weight, age, and favorite activities of your animal can help me provide the best care I can for your pooch! I would love to know your dogs preferred pace and/or activities he/she enjoys inside and outdoors. Is your pup trained to walk a certain way? Does he/she need more practice? If your pup is a puller, does he/she use special tools i.e. Gentle leader, harness etc.?

A typical day

I live in a lovely neighborhood, perfect for walks! My husky is very friendly, playful, and loves having friends over. Both my husky and my cat are fully vetted and up-to-date on all vaccinations. My children love pets and are very respectful, understanding boundaries, and not encouraging bad behaviors. Your furbaby will be welcomed with open arms by our whole family and will feel right at home.

Pet care experience

Animals have always been at the heart of my life. I treat every pet as if they were my own, because I truly believe animals are deeply intuitive, sensitive souls who deserve patience, respect, and loving care. Providing high-quality, calm, and consistent care brings me genuine joy, and pet sitting is not just a job for me, it is something I am deeply passionate about. I run a small, insured pet care business locally and bring that same level of professionalism, accountability, and personal attention to my Rover clients. My approach is gentle, observant, and intuitive. I have spent my entire life studying animal behavior, body language, and emotional cues, which allows me to adapt easily to each pet’s comfort level, routine, and personality. I have extensive experience with senior pets, special-needs animals, and multi-pet households. This is also a family-run business. My teens, Connor and Allison, have grown up alongside my pet care work and have been helping me for over a decade. They are responsible, compassionate, animal-loving teens who understand safe handling, routines, and respectful care. As they have gotten older, they have taken on more responsibility and continue to learn the importance of reliability, empathy, and work ethic through this business. They may occasionally assist during visits or overnights. If a client is not comfortable with my children assisting in their home, they are always welcome to let me know in advance. I am happy to discuss preferences prior to booking so expectations feel clear and everyone is comfortable. Operating as a family business allows me to expand my availability while maintaining a high standard of care, and it gives my children meaningful experience in responsibility, communication, and animal stewardship. I remain fully responsible for all care at all times, and my business is insured and operated with the same professionalism you would expect from a full-time pet care provider. I currently work part-time, which gives me flexibility to provide personalized care. Early mornings, midday walks, and evening drop-offs are available, and I do my best to accommodate each client’s schedule. Many clients share that their pets quickly feel at home with me and that communication is clear, reassuring, and consistent. Safety is always my number one priority. I maintain a clean, calm, and loving environment that helps pets settle in comfortably. My own cat is very reclusive, so visiting pets will most likely never encounter her. Whether you need boarding, house sitting, or drop-in visits, you can rest easy knowing your pets are in gentle, trustworthy, and experienced hands. Free boarding transportation within Kalkaska village limits. 1–2 pets only.
