Stay Home Dog Lover/Love to Help!

My home is comfortable and welcoming. I am very patient and understanding with animals, I try to show that I am open to their approach and interaction, but not pushy for it. They usually come to me when they are ready. I have not been a professional pet sitter in the past, but have often taken care of friends cats and dogs for overnights, weekends, and sometimes longer when needed. I lost my 7 year old yellow lab, Kelli, to diabetes and pneumonia in June 2016 so having other fur babies to care for has been very healing. I also fostered two senior dogs in 2016, but currently I do not have any fosters since they were both adopted (one by a Rover client of mine!).

Cheyanne was very sweet and quick to respond. My pup seemed to have the best time playing and enjoying Cheyanne’s backyard. My pup was well taken care of and I could tell Cheyanne really cared for the pups she watches.

Cheyanne was easy to work and communicate with, has a great understanding of pets needs and their own little quirks. Had zero issues or concerns with our dogs stay and will 100% book again! Thanks again Cheyanne!

Cheyanne not only took great care of Lucy during Lucy's stay but helped socialize her with others dogs. We will definitely book Cheyanne again! Thank you!

Cheyanne was amazing with my dog Courage. She was so kind and patient with him since it takes him awhile to be comfortable with people. They seemed like best buddies by the end of his stay. I can’t thank Cheyanne enough for taking such good care of him.

Cheyanne was amazing with my dog Courage. It takes him awhile to trust and be comfortable with new people, but Cheyanne respected his boundaries and made him feel comfortable and safe. I can’t thank her enough for taking care of my dog.

Safety, trust & environment

My yard is fenced in, I'm cautious with introductions, and will only keep pups from different homes if okay with all owners and the pups can be separated but get along okay. I usually only have one at a time unless another request comes in and it works for all.

A typical day

We can walk in the neighborhood and for longer nature walks, there is a greenbelt hiking trail in my subdivision with a nearby park. We can also just hang out in the backyard playing ball and walking around the garden.

No specific breed preferences. Would like to know that the dog is house trained, any specific needs or requirements, usual routine and temperament (in general and with other dogs), best way to introduce people, and any other preferences or quirks. Wake up/sleep times, where do they like to sleep (can it be with me), like blankets/pillows or not, familiar with a backyard or apartment only, any specific routines for feeding (prep and serving process, shy pooper/ how many times a day, scared of vacuum/storms etc? Anything else like that you can think of always helps.
