As a lifelong animal lover who has always shared my home with pets, I understand how important it is to know your dog is in caring and attentive hands. Your dog will be lovingly cared for and closely supervised on our peaceful 8-acre property, complete with a beautiful creek and plenty of space to explore. We provide lots of toys and treats to keep your dog happy and engaged, and our friendly miniature schnauzer enjoys making new canine friends (after a little welcoming bark or two!). Our free-ranging chickens also add an extra bit of entertainment and curiosity for visiting dogs. You can feel confident that your dog will be safe, comfortable, and well cared for in our cozy home, where they will receive plenty of attention, affection, and fun throughout their stay.

Chester was an amazing sitter. I can not recommend him enough. He was great with communication, I felt very safe with him taking care of my dog Duke, and he was very attentive, even one day sleeping downstairs to make sure that he wasn't feeling lonely throughout the night. It was great! Chester really goes above and beyond what the expectation of a Rover sitter is and you cannot go wrong using him to watch your pets. Any time I'm in the area and I need a sitter, I will absolutely be using Chester (considering he has availability).
Chester is an absolutely incredible dog sitter, and I can’t recommend him enough. From the moment I set foot in his home and he started caring for my dog, it was clear how much he genuinely loves and understands animals. He takes them on regular walks, spends quality time playing with them, and always makes sure they feel happy, safe, and comfortable. What really stands out is the level of attention and care he gives. He never leaves them alone for long and truly treats them like they’re his own. Whether it’s letting them relax on the couch or giving them plenty of affection, he goes above and beyond to make sure they feel at home. It gives me such peace of mind knowing my dog was with someone so responsible, loving, and attentive. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your pets like family, Chester is the one.
Even know my dog was not her best. Chester was very kind and sweet about it she tore up his pillow and was protictive over him around other dogs. A side ive never seen from her intill he told me about it. Its her second time with him and she loves every min of it. And he was very understanding about everything. 10/10 and dogs love him
Fantastic stay for my lab mix pups, home away from home for them. Very accommodating with the early drop off and then a late pick up on Sunday. I wouldn't be able to do that at a typical kennel. Very close to NY route 17 - I will have them stay again.
Fantastic experience! We have only had our dogs a few months, and we’re a little nervous about overnight care, but Chester put us at ease right away and our dogs had a great time!! Highly recommend.

I am home full-time after retiring from a 30-year career in corporate IT, which allows me to devote my full attention to caring for dogs providing constant supervision, companionship, and personalized care, ensuring your dog receives the attention, affection, and exercise they deserve.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a spacious 8-acre property with long, groomed walking paths where dogs can explore and enjoy the outdoors, typically leashed for safety. Our back property is exceptionally private, featuring wide, flat open fields with no immediate neighbors and located well away from the road, providing a peaceful and secure environment. We also have a fenced play area where dogs can safely enjoy off-leash play and exercise. Inside, dogs are treated as part of the family and are welcome throughout our roomy and comfortable home. At night, they can relax and sleep in cozy dog beds located in quiet spare rooms, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and right at home during their stay.

A typical day
I can take your dog on multiple long walks each day along the private, winding trails on our property, which lead to a beautiful creek. Our property offers a wonderful mix of wide-open fields and wooded areas, giving dogs plenty of opportunities to explore, exercise, and enjoy the many interesting sights and scents nature has to offer. For dogs who enjoy socializing, we also have a large fenced play area where they can safely run, play, and interact with other friendly dogs under close supervision.
