Greetings Stephen's City, VA! My husband and I just relocated from Vienna, VA, after a few months of couch surfing with friends and nail biting, and we are so excited to finally be here! We are lifelong dog lovers and pet parents, work from home, and have been sitting with Rover for over six years. While many of our fuzzy friends from Vienna will be making the journey out to your fair town to stay with us, there is plenty of room for you too! And you are going to love it! We have a full fenced acre with lots of room to sniff and romp, sunrise to the back of the house and sunset to the front, and plenty of room and soft places inside to snuggle up and sprawl out for a nap. We both work from home - my husband Lee runs our family-owned business from our on-site shop (Check out DrivingAidsdotcom) and I (Cheryl) telework - so your pup will never be alone. There will always be someone to pet them or play with them or give them a snack and some fresh water. And with a large fenced yard, a potty break or time outside to sniff around is only a doorknob away - no crossed legs in this house! Our dog Chase, eight years old, will be your host, and he’s been busy exploring the land and making friends with the cows next door. We have two friendly, respectful indoor/outdoor cats, MooMoo and KiKi who love nature and respect dogs, and spend most of their time prowling around the yard. Fuzzy guests can snooze on any furniture they take to their liking and choose from sofas, comfy chairs, and a bunch of big beds or a bunch of different dog beds. Over the years we have loved and cared for a lot of different dogs, from Schnauzers, Corgis, Husky’s, German Shepherds and Lhasas to Shitzus, Border Collies, Weimariners, Pugs, Australian Shepherds, Golden Retrievers and Labs, some since they were puppies, others elders and rescues. Why I love dog sitting? We have always had at least one dog in the family, from when we were children until now. At one time, Cheryl had four dogs! We love sitting because it pleases our fuzzy guests and Chase loves to meet and play with new friends. We have been so fortunate to meet so many wonderful dogs in our years with Rover - many of them monthly regulars! About my yard? We have a lovely, large fenced yard with grass and trees and some very curious squirrels which Chase loves to, well, chase. My experience administering medication? Yes, we have had to administer medications over the years, including eye drops, ear drops, oral and injections. When we do travel we take our pups with us whenever possible! There are some nice kennels around but for a social dog nothing beats a home sweet home! We hope you enjoy our pictures and testimonials as much as we enjoyed creating them.
