Availability
Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine. I work mostly from home as a part-time theatre creative, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to plan my day around visits, check-ins, or staying overnight when needed. I’m used to structuring my time independently, so I can consistently prioritise feeding times, play sessions, and regular check-ins. I also build in time for updates, so owners can feel reassured while they’re away. Because I’m not tied to a strict 9–5 schedule, I’m able to adapt to different pets’ routines, whether that means early morning visits, evening care, or spending longer periods at home with them for companionship.

Safety, trust & environment
I always tailor my care to each pet’s routine and personality, whether I’m visiting your home or staying overnight. In a pet owner’s home, I aim to keep everything as familiar and stress-free as possible. I follow your instructions closely for feeding, litter cleaning, walks (if needed), and playtime, while also giving your pet plenty of attention and companionship. I keep the space clean and tidy, and I’m happy to help with small tasks like bringing in parcels or watering plants. I also provide regular photo and message updates so you feel connected while you’re away. Overall, I focus on making pets feel secure, well-cared for, and relaxed, while giving owners peace of mind through reliable communication.
Information Cheryl i. would like to know about your pet
Before caring for any pet, I find it really important to understand their individual needs and habits in advance. This includes their feeding schedule, dietary restrictions, litter or toilet routines, and any medical needs or medications. I also like to know about their personality, whether they’re shy, energetic, independent, or affectionate, so I can approach them in a way that makes them feel comfortable. It’s also helpful to be aware of any behavioural quirks, triggers, or things they may be sensitive to (such as loud noises, strangers, or other animals), as well as their favourite toys, hiding spots, and routines. The more I know beforehand, the better I can create a calm, familiar environment and provide care that feels consistent and reassuring for your pet.
A typical day
like to tailor activities to each pet’s personality and energy level, so they feel comfortable and genuinely enjoy the time. For cats, this can include interactive play with toys (like feather wands or lasers), gentle enrichment games, and quiet companionship for those who prefer a calmer presence. I also make sure they get plenty of attention, whether that’s cuddles, brushing, or just sitting nearby so they feel safe and relaxed. For dogs, I enjoy walks, playtime, and light training reinforcement if needed, keeping things fun but structured. I also love capturing little moments during our time together, so you can expect regular photo updates of your pet playing, relaxing, or just being their cute selves. My goal is always to keep them mentally stimulated, happy, and feeling cared for while you’re away.

North London + Herts Pet Sitter
Pet care experience
Hi! I’m a part-time theatre creative who mostly works from home, which means I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your pets the care and attention they deserve. I’m based in North London and available across Greater London and Hertfordshire. I offer both drop-in visits and overnight house sitting. My services include feeding, litter cleaning, playtime, and regular photo updates so you can feel at ease while you’re away. I’m also happy to walk dogs if needed. Beyond pet care, I can help with small household tasks like bringing in parcels or watering your plants. I previously volunteered in my hometown, helping to feed and care for stray cats and dogs in the neighbourhood. While I don’t currently have a pet of my own, I’ve spent the past 2–3 years pet-sitting for friends and neighbours, building experience with different personalities and needs. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I aim to provide a calm, attentive, and reliable presence for both you and your furry companion.

Reviews

Cheryl is a reliable and trustworthy cat sitter. She took excellent care of my cat, Coco, while I was away and kept everything running smoothly. It was reassuring to know Coco was in good hands, and I returned home to a happy and well-cared-for cat. Communication was great throughout, and everything went exactly as planned. I am very happy to recommend Cheryl to anyone looking for a dependable cat sitter, and I will definitely use her services again in the future.
Cheryl was great, really good communication, fed and did extra bits for our cats as directed - thank you so much!!
Cheryl is such a jem, love the pictures and videos she sent me when i was away. She is very attentive:) will definitely have her look after my fur baby again

Cheryl took such wonderful care of Tyche. Tyche had a few peeing accidents and Cheryl was so patient and understanding about it. She dealt with everything calmly, kept me updated, and I never once felt worried. Would 100% trust her again and highly recommend her! Thank you, Cheryl 😊
