Information Cheryl G. would like to know about your pet

I have no breed preferences for the people I pet sit for. All pets are part of your family and I treat them that way as well. I always have a 'meet and greet' to make sure everyone, 2 and 4-legged are comfortable.

Time I'll spend with your dog I typically visit your home 2-3 times a day. Each visit is approximately 30 mins. Extra services Yes, bringing in newspapers and mail, putting out garbage, picking up the yard and watering plants are fine.

Vet Tech to love your pets.

Pet care experience

I have been a professional dog trainer for 20+ years. I have a degree as a Veterinary Technician so I can take care of your pets minor medical/medicine needs as well. I am a retired Veterinary Technician. I am a professional dog trainer, an AKC Canine Good Citizen trainer and Evaluator, and a Therapy Team trainer and Evaluator. I volunteer with Greyhound Pets of America greyhound adoption program. I foster for Rhodesian Ridgeback Rescue of US. I have been pet sitting for many years with many happy customers, canine, feline, avian, fish, and human. (Now specializing in cats!) I have owned retired racing greyhounds for more than 25 years and I owned several rhodesian ridgebacks. I now have one Ridgeback, a cat and foster ridgebacks for rescue. Three of my greyhounds have been nationally registered Pet Partners therapy dogs. My first ridgeback was also a registered therapy dog. All pets are part of the family and I take care of them as such. My goal is for both you and your pets to be comfortable! My experience administering medication: I have a degree as a veterinary technician so I can take care of any oral or injectable medication needs and minor medical issues that crop up. I can also decide quickly what things need to be addressed by your veterinarian. I am retired so I do have availability for pet sitting. I'm open on the weekends as well. I prefer pets that live close to me in order to have more time with pets and less travel. I love spending time with and getting to know other people's furry family members! They will get treats if allowed and lots of love and attention from me.

Cheryl was amazing with my pups. She did drop in care for my girls while I was out of town for a few days. Cheryl came by before to see our routine. She took notes on both pups. Both of my girls are cautious and scared but Cheryl gained their trust quickly. I trust Cheryl with my pups and in my home. She’s also working with and training my young puppy to help her gain confidence.

I'm always anxious about letting a stranger into our house and leaving our 4 babies with them but meeting Cheryl put me at ease. She came prepared to take lots of notes and pays attention to detail. The fact that she's a vet tech is a huge plus as well. I should also mention, I'm very high maintenance and "micro-managey" when it comes to caring for my cats but Cheryl took it like a champ.

Cheryl is wonderful! My doggie was in great hands. He is pretty shy, and Cheryl gained his trust right away. I highly recommend her!!!

I give Cheryl a 20/10! She went beyond for us! It was pretty last minute, right before Xmas and she accepted no problem. She came over before we left to introduce herself and get down the information. She got all our mail, packages and moved our trash cans back, which we so very much appreciated. Our cat acted like she barley missed us when we got back because Cheryl took such great care of her. I will definitely use her again. She also works at the vet office I take Martini too which is very comforting knowing she would notice if something was wrong. I am so thankful for her and would recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter :)
