Safety, trust & environment

I am a trusted, respected dog (and former cat) owner who always takes ownership and pet care very seriously, but also am loving and caring towards all animals. I will ensure your dog/cat and home are safe and secure when visiting. I have also completed the Pet First Aid course at St. John Ambulance. I recently visited with a dog with encephalitis. It was a challenging but rewarding experience and the owners were extremely happy to be able to travel with the peace of mind that their fur baby was well taken care of. 🐾

Information Cheryl C. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know more about your dog or cat; their breed, age, any special dietary or behaviour concerns, any medications needed, how they are around children and other animals and any training techniques used.

A typical day

If agreed, I would love to take your dog on a walk, play fetch or if inclement weather, play games or puzzles indoors. Dogs love to explore new places and daily walks are very important for both physical and mental health. For cats, I am happy to play or chill, depending on your cats preferences.

Pet care experience

Servicing Niagara Region, I have built a solid portfolio of new and repeat clients with Rover.com. I love dogs and cats, understand dog behaviour and have volunteered for shelters and rescue organizations over the last ~10 years. My experience with dogs is vast, including all dog breeds, puppies and senior dogs. I easily care for all behavioral types from shy and nervous dogs to tenacious personalities. Your dog or cat will be safe and well cared for, but also have fun and play time. I am also a professional dog trainer and use only humane methods.

Excellent Sasha is not the easiest to walk but Cheryl has handled her well. Thanks Cheryl.

Cheryl took care of our dogs and our home for 3 days - communication was amazing as usual and she kept our house tidy. Douglas and Malika enjoyed their time with her 😀

We have had Cheryl several times. First few times was great, she would send pictures throughout the day to let us know that our dogs were doing OK. I am very immaculate with my home. We have a very lovely home as well as beautiful show dogs. I would leave it in perfect condition and come home to it being pretty dirty. if I'm paying to care for my dogs, I would at least expect their area to stay clean and I don't understand why I would have to clean up after somebody after being away. Anyways, I would have to pay Cheryl extra to clean up after herself and the dogs. The picture stopped coming and my last sit with her was yesterday. My dogs were very anxious when I came home and I knew that they had been left alone a lot as Cheryl has many other dog jobs, such as walking, for other people, etc., dog trading but my dogs were left alone in bottom line way too long and I came home to dirty filthy water dishes with barely any water in them. I always leave a big bowl in the garage and it was full of slime and mud with 1 inch of water as well as in the dog room. It was the same condition. I had to vacuum the whole area and wash floors immediately before I could start putting anything away. I think Cheryl's best to stay with dog walks because staying in your home in overnights is really not her strength we're just really wanted somebody to be with our dogs not just let them out outside alone with no water.

Cheryl was once again very helpful. We needed a drop in visit for a day we stayed longer than usual out and that made a huge difference. Our pups stayed very calm after she left until we came back.
