Home from home care in Elham Valley
Having grown up with Great Danes and Pointers my husband has always been a keen dog lover and we got our first family dog, Scout, a Springador, nearly 5 years ago. He is a lovely natured dog that loves company and so we often found ourselves looking after friends and families dogs as well. I am now fully insured to offer a home away from home doggy retreat so that you can enjoy your precious time away knowing that your fur baby is well looked after and enjoying their own little holiday in a loving and homely environment. If you would like, I am to send photos and updates to you during your time away so that you have full peace of mind and can see what your pooch is getting up to!

Cherri was brilliant and my pug Maggie loved her and her dog black lab Scout. It was my first time of leaving Maggie and Cherri kept me informed and sent me photos of Maggie having a wonderful time and extremely happy.. Cherri has a great garden for dogs and public footpaths and tracks literally just at the end of her drive. She walked Maggie and Scout every day across fields and countryside and both dogs had such fun together. Cherri's dog is such a kind and loveable soul who made friends with Maggie straightaway. Cherri followed all my instructions for food and medication etc, nothing was too much trouble. I have no hesitation in asking Cherri to have Maggie again - it has put my mind at rest that I can now leave my 'best friend' Maggie with Cherri and know that she will be very happy staying there at what I now call her "second home". Thank you so much Cherri and all your family, and of course Scout, Maggie's new friend.
Truffle had a lovely time at Cherri's and found a.lovely new friend in Scout. Cherri was also great at providing photos and feedback.
We highly recommend Cherri to look after your dog. We met beforehand to introduce our dogs and knew they would get on. Scout is adorable! My chocolate lab is 10 and we wanted a home from home setting and this was perfect! Everything was professionally discussed and our week away was relaxed knowing that Milo was being looked after like family. Updates and photos were very much appreciated. Thank you so much Cherri, highly recommended and won’t hesitate to use again :)
Our black Labrador Ray spent five days with Cherri, her family and dog. It seems that he was very well looked after, exercised, and completely happy. Cherri kept us informed and sent us photos on a daily basis. We will definitely ask Cherri to look after Ray again.
Cherri was excellent with my Dog Arnie - She responded really quickly to any messages I sent, arranged a meet and greet which put my mind at rest as she is located in a lovely village with amazing walks 5 mins from her house. I am sure if Arnie could talk (although he is very vocal as Cherri found out !) he would say that he had an amazing time being pampered, fed and walked for the days he was there - was definitely a home from home experience - I would have no hesitation in booking Arnie in with Cherri again in the future.
What a lovely family to leave my pup with for the first time we went away ! Nelly had a fabulous time thank you so much ❤️

Schedule
I work part time from home so I'm always on hand to give attentive care to your little fur baby and they will never be left on their own. Limitless fresh air and cosy evening snuggles will be available!

Safety, trust & environment
I aim to give your dog a home from home experience... if they sleep on your bed, they sleep on mine! Everything will be bespoke to their preferences, which I will discuss with you in detail before their arrival. I want your doggy to feel like they've had a holiday and can't wait to come back again!

A typical day
My family and I are lucky enough to live in a detached village property and have a large fenced garden so dogs can enjoy all the time outside that they want. We have the beautiful Elham Valley right on our doorstep, quite literally, so we are spoilt for walks in the surrounding countryside without the need to drive the dogs anywhere. The Nailbourne chalk stream is just a couple of minutes walk away for dogs that enjoy a splash in the water. If you are happy for me to do so, we can also visit nearby woods and beaches.
