Crazy Dog Ladies

Cherie was a vet tech in Atlanta for 18 years and a part time professional dog walker for 10 years. She is originally from Jacksonville, but moved to the Orlando area to attend college. While in college, Cherie worked at Disney before eventually landing at SeaWorld, where she first met her now wife, Candace. During her college years, Cherie developed a love for birds, amphibians, and maintaining fish aquariums. In 1998, Cherie moved to Atlanta and began her vet tech career for a well known local Veterinary Clinic. Her best friend owns a dog walking company in Atlanta, which Cherie helped to establish. Additionally, during her time in Atlanta, Cherie also volunteered at a Guinea Pig Rescue and was a foster fail many times over! Cherie returned to Orlando a litte bit over 10 years ago to reunite with Candace. Cherie brought back with her two dogs, a beautiful Brussels Griffon named Mitzi and an adventurous Maltese called Tatumn. She also has an Umbrella Cockatoo (Joey) that already had ties to the Orlando area. Joey was hatched at the popular community staple, The Bird Store. Unfortunately, Joey was shamefully rejected by her mother. At the time, Cherie worked at The Bird Store part-time. She volunteered to take Joey in and care for her for the next One of the highlights of Joey's life is to go and spend time at The Bird Store with his Grammy, Peggy! Candace owns her own sneaker/lego reselling business. She works from home. Almost always, it will be Candace who is responding to messages and is at home during the daytime hours! have the space in my home and a large fenced back yard for doggy play. We have a good neighborhood with sidewalks for taking strolls. I have experience for special needs cases. I am able to administer medications and subcutaneous injections. I'm also well versed in dog nutrition for those pups with sensitivities. My wife (Candace) and I share our loves with Chihuauas, birds, amphibians, and many reptiles. Since changing careers, I've missed meeting so many new dogs and would love to meet and care for your baby or babies! The more the merrier!

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

Any pet that comes to us is treated like our own. They can sleep in the bed with us if that's allowed and they can go on any of the furniture. However, we do like to keep your routine if that what you wish. We know how hard it is to trust someone with your babies, we are the same way! Our dogs like to lay around all day and sleep. They are very low energy, except for random outbursts. However, that doesn't stop them from being friends with other dogs of varying energy. They won't play with your dog, but they certainly will smell some butts!

Once again, our little guy had a great time. I’m thankful we found Cherie and Candace! We already plan on asking them to watch our little guy for our next overnight trip.

They went above and beyond to make my daughter feel better about leaving our pup. We both enjoyed the frequent pictures and updates of how he was doing. I know they treated Huck like one of their own. My daughter could tell he was so well cared for that she said she wanted to make sure he stayed there every single time we can’t bring him along. 🩷

Tell me everything your dog likes and dislikes, I want them to be as comfortable and happy as possible. They need to be up to date on rabies, dhppc, and bordetella and free of fecal parasites and transmitable diseases. Current on monthly flea prevention. Our dogs and yard are treated regularly. Only non prey driven dogs please as we have other small pets. I prefer to let the dogs interact with each other but have the capability to keep them separate if that is their or your preference.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
