Loving, Reliable Dog Care in Hurstpierpoint.
Providing a home-from-home, cuddles & beautiful country walks for your pet! I’ve cared for dogs professionally since 2018 dog and for family/friends for many years prior. Together with my dog-loving partner Alex, we're in a perfect country cottage location to provide boarding and daycare as well as providing walks and drop-ins in the local area. Our experience and current clients range from young, energetic puppies to older dogs needing gentle exercise and multi-dog families and those with more complex health needs. At home, our friendly 1.5 year-old mixed breed Maureen is head of health and safety- having done a recent thorough puppy-proof assessment! 😆 She loves having dog friends and can help provide extra fun and reassurance for your dog. We're incredibly thorough, safety-conscious, and follow each dog’s individual routine closely, so they feel happy, comfortable, and part of the family.

Teddy loved staying with Cheri, and it was clear he was well cared for throughout. Cheri kept us updated with great communication and was especially caring when Teddy became poorly, making sure he was looked after and keeping us informed..
Cheri was an excellent sitter for our dog Adora. Adora was happy when she came home and excited to see Cheri again the next day. The resident dog Maureen was a friendly host too! I wouldn't hesitate to use Cheri's services again.
Highly recommend Cheri! She checked in on our Vizsla puppy for an hour and half with great communication and updates throughout. Arthur is a bundle of energy but Cheri even thought ahead and brought a snuffle ball with her to keep him entertained. He had a lovely time. Will definitely book again!
We’ve had a great experience with Cheri & Alex. Eric our dog loves his time with them. We get photos and updates on his day. Pictures of lovely looking walks and has their little dog Maureen as play mate. Would recommend them and will continue to use them.
Absolutely recommend Cheri and Alex, our 2 year old spaniel Ollie had the best holiday with their dog Maureen, lots of cuddles and lovely walks, treated as their own. We will be back again! Thank you for looking after our boy 😊
Cheri is brilliant, she provided great communication and pictures when she dropped in to see my dog whilst we were out. It was lovely knowing she was happy and had company for a short while 🥰

Schedule
I work from home and am currently part-time and rarely on calls, which means I have plenty of time to dedicate to dog needs. Your pet can expect lots of attention, regular walks, and playtime. I’m available for boarding + daycare on both weekdays and weekends, and can also provide drop-in visits or walks (I have availability for extra 1 on 1 walks on Fridays at the moment too). Occasionally I can sit in your home if availability allows just ask :) The calendar should be up to date but please do just contact and ask about the service you need as, with my flexible schedule I can try and move things around to accommodate you. We know how hard it is to find last-minute services so have opened ourselves up to offer this and check if we can make it work! Though please note all boarding and daycare would require a meet and greet with our Maureen first.

In our cosy cottage dogs are welcome on the sofa if you'd like them to be and sleeping arrangements can be discussed per your preference. We have a secure fenced garden too. I'd I always arrange a meet & greet before boarding to ensure the dogs are comfortable together and in the space. When caring for pets in your home, I follow your instructions exactly, keeping to their routines and ensuring their environment stays safe, clean, and stress-free. I’m diligent, reliable, and treat every pet with the same love and care I give my own.

A typical day
Maureen, our dog explains a typical day: We have amazing meadows to run about in 3 minutes from the house and loads of other countryside walks on the doorstep where we can have off lead fun (if appropriate!) and there's so much good stuff to sniff and watch in the village itself. After the morning adventures and breakfast (plus a post walk rub down and play) we'd settle down for a snooze and relax until lunchtime when we may rise for an inspection of the garden, some belly rubs, and games. This usually tires me out so I go for an even longer nap. When we wake full of energy Cheri gets us a snuffle/licky mat or enrichment activity to keep us entertained and stimulated and then we'd usually get another longer walk if we want one and dinner! In the evening Alex plays with us, he's really fun and we snooze on the sofa :) I'll chomp on a carrot or green bean in a kong and you can have your favourite treat too!
