Tails and Trails Dog Walking

I’m an experienced animal carer with over 13 years. I hold a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management with Distinction and completed Year 1 Veterinary Medicine studies at the Royal Veterinary College. I offer dog walking, dog boarding, dog day care and cat care. My background spans rescue centres, kennels, catteries, veterinary clinics and rehabilitation work, giving me a deep understanding of animal behaviour, welfare and emotional needs. I specialise in providing calm, structured and enriching care that helps pets feel secure, settled and at ease, whether they are energetic, anxious, senior or needing extra support. I am confident in all aspects of daily care including tailored feeding routines, medication administration, gentle grooming and maintaining each pet’s established routine. I am also happy to accommodate individual requests to suit your pet’s specific needs. Your pet’s wellbeing is always my priority, and I take pride in offering reliable, attentive care with clear communication and regular updates for complete peace of mind. I would love to welcome your pet into my care. Any questions feel free to drop me a message!

Schedule

Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine as I am currently building my pet care business, giving me the flexibility to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. I have my own dog, George, and cat, Milky, so caring for animals is a big part of everyday life. With my background in animal care, including studying at the Royal Veterinary College and completing a Level 3 qualification in Animal Management, I am confident caring for pets with a range of needs and personalities. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always aim to provide reliable, loving care.

Safety, trust & environment

Whether caring for pets in my home or a pet owner’s home, I always prioritise their safety, comfort and routine. Pets in my home have access to a fenced garden and will be around my friendly dog, George, and cat, Milky. I can also crate dogs if needed for their comfort or routine. I follow each pet’s individual care instructions, including feeding, exercise, medication and any specific needs, and make sure they get plenty of attention, play and enrichment. I keep owners updated with messages and photos, and aim to make every pet feel safe, happy and well cared for.

A typical day

A typical day includes walks tailored to each dog’s needs, from gentle walks for seniors to longer, more active routes for energetic dogs. There are several local parks nearby, so walks often include exploring, sniffing and exercise. I personalise every routine based on the dog’s age, personality and instructions from the owner. Alongside walks, dogs also get rest, enrichment and plenty of attention to ensure they feel comfortable, happy and settled.

I have no breed preferences, I’m able to work with majority of dogs, I’d firstly like to meet each individual dog before we go ahead and make sure their suitable for the other dogs in care. Before we book, I carry out an assessment to make sure I note down every need and requirement for your dog.
