If your pet has special needs or medication to take, I am able to be gentle but firm in times like these. Having experience with pets of all kinds as well as children and great grandparent who need focused care gives me the knowledge to care for our family too.
A typical day
First things first, let the pets get familiar with me…after I assess their acceptance of a new hooman in their space we can engage in more playful things like playing fetch, going on walks/hikes, even just snuggling on a couch to watch Dr Pol.

I have been a pet owner since I was 4 years old. Having potty trained, crate trained and socialized with dogs and cats makes me comfortable with any member of your pet family. I’ve also cared for other types of pets such as fish (fresh and salt water), ferrets, parrots and more! Most recently I pet sit for 10 consecutive days for a very shy rescue puppy who, by the third day was warmed up to me with routine and small windows of play time. Seeing your pet thrive and relaxed while enjoying some human interaction is the key to successful Pet sitting in my eyes. I’m unafraid of cleaning up messes, administering medication and keeping you informed of how the care is going via phone calls, FaceTime, videos and pictures to ease your traveling mind.

We were very fortunate to have Chene take care of our visiting “granddoggy” while we went away for a few days. Remy can be an anxious little dog, and Chene was very kind and conscientious about helping him feel loved and secure. She came over to meet him and learn all about him before we left so we all felt confident leaving Remy in her care. She also sent a photo or two each day which we really appreciated! Our house was clean and well taken care of as well. Thank you, Chene!
Chene' went above and beyond for my timid rescue dog. She was patient, kind and took very good care of my sweet boy. My house was tidy and clean when I got home. Which was much appreciated!
I had an emergency and needed someone to watch my animal for an extended amount of time. I called Chene and she immediately said yes! I knew my baby would be in good hands with her. Even after I went to get him back she would get ahold of me to check up on us! Chene is a wonderful, caring, loving, responsible person!
Chene pet sat for six weeks when my husband and I were out of the country. We have a Congo African Grey Parrot. She did an amazing job. When we came back our house and plants had been cared for, and our bird was healthy, well-adjusted and happy. At least five years have gone by and when she comes over, he recognizes her right away and gets calm and cozy right away in her presence. I think they’ll be lifelong friends! I know she has experience with dogs and I’ve seen her manage both a very energetic German shepherd mix as well as a sensitive cuddly people-oriented dog. I can recommend Chene highly, she is responsible, caring and dependable. She gets 10/10 from our family!
