When pet sitting, first I'd like to make sure your pet is comfortable having me inside your home, and I would like to make sure they are comfortable inside my home. Once we get over that, I follow the clients care notes and communicate daily on their pets status.

Information Chelsia G. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your dog is reactive to other dogs or people and whether or not they are intact. I have experience with reactive dogs, and can handle potentially dangerous situations, but I need to know so I can be prepared. I prefer larger breed dogs as I'm more experienced with larger breeds, but I definitely welcome the little guys. Group walks, or one-on-one walks? For scheduling purposes, please specify.

A typical day

I usually let your dog pick the direction, but if there is a preferred route I will follow it to a T. If dog parks and trails are allowed, then I'm all for it. It is great socialization and exercise for your dog. I am also all for fetch, tug, and chase.

Pet care experience

Hello, I am an experienced dog walker/sitter that is new to the area. My previous experience spans across DC, MD, and now VA, and my previous experience with dogs include: large dogs, small dogs, leash reactive and aggressive dogs, shy dogs, young puppies, high energy dogs, senior dogs, and other special needs such as blind/deaf dogs, and physically disabled dogs. As for difficult dogs, I use positive reinforcement, treats, and patience :) I make sure to always keep my clients up to date on what their dogs are up to during my visits, and provide extra services free of charge such as mail collection, or minding plants. As for drop-ins, I also have experience with other animals: cats, ferrets, rabbits, turtles, guinea pigs and hamsters, rats and snakes. Even farm animals, depending on where you are. Book with confidence knowing that I will take care of your pet as if they were my own.

I have used Chelsia over the past 2 years and my two standard poodles love her! She obviously loves dogs and is very personable. If I lived closer to the area I'd make sure she had a lot more business from me, Shane, and Bruno.

Absolutely fantastic experience with Chelsia! My dogs were comfortable with her right away! She took them for a walk and they were happy and tired when I got back. Her communication during booking was fast and extremely polite. Her price was very reasonable. If I'm in the area again I will definitely be contacting her.

Chelsia is wonderful. Both of my dogs love, love, love her. I wish I lived closer but she made my vacation so much less stress free when leaving the boys behind.
