Cozy Home Care for Your Pup
Hi, pet parents! After taking about a year away from pet sitting, my husband and I decided we missed having furry guests around and are excited to start welcoming dogs again. We now accept one guest dog at a time, which allows us to give each pup plenty of individual attention. I work from home, so I’m home throughout the day for potty breaks, playtime, company, and cuddles. We do have kids involved in sports, so there may be some evenings when we are away for a game or activity. Your dog will stay as part of our family in our home. We have a spacious yard and our kids love helping give our furry visitors extra attention. We currently have two dogs of our own, Ducky, our older pug, and Sally, our mini schnauzer. Visiting dogs must be comfortable around both children and other dogs. For everyone’s safety and comfort, we ask that guest dogs be: * Crate-trained * House-trained and non-destructive * Good with children and other dogs * Up to date on vaccinations, worming, and flea prevention Our goal is to give your dog a comfortable, loving home away from home while you’re away!

Chelsey was very attentive to my dogs needs. She sent pictures throughout the day. I was able to enjoy a lovely day at Merlefest with no attention on my canine kids!
Max seemed very at ease with the sitter and her family. Played well with their dogs as well. He seemed happy so I am happy. Sitter very good to stay in touch and let you know what’s going on. Will use again.

Schedule
I work part-time as a tutor and my schedule changes based on the semester; however, I try to keep this updated to be up front about plans. Fall 2024-I work mornings a few days a week and only work Tuesday all day. I still have a lunch break where I can take dogs in my care for walks. Reach out if you want to talk about it. If I do have to run an errand you dog would be in the climate-controlled boarding facility in a spacious kennel or inside my home in a crate based on training.

I treat your dog's just like my own, providing the same love and care—unless they have special requirements, of course! I always strive to accommodate each owner’s wishes and ensure your pup feels comfortable and happy. If you’d like, I love to send regular updates and pictures during their stay so you can see how much fun they’re having!

A typical day
Your dogs will love our spacious outdoor areas! We have a fenced patio where they can play safely, along with a front yard, a large backyard, and what we call the "lower yard"—plenty of space for walks and playtime. Plus, I have access to a beautiful trail through the woods behind my house and a creek for some extra adventure! If your dog is friendly and enjoys company, they can play with my dogs or even join in on the fun with my kids. My children have learned to respect the dogs’ boundaries, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone. Rest assured, your pup will receive plenty of attention and affection!

- I prioritize open communication to ensure we provide the best care for your fur baby. Since I have kids and other dogs, I can only accommodate non-aggressive dogs. For the safety and health of everyone, I require that all dogs be up to date on vaccinations, flea treatments, and deworming. When I receive a request, I typically ask a few questions to get a better understanding of your dog’s needs, as sometimes the profile doesn’t provide all the details. Here are some key questions I ask: Is your dog kid and dog friendly? Is your dog up to date on shots and flea/worm medications? Is your dog leash trained? If not, how would you like me to handle walks? (It's okay if they pull; some dogs just need more time!) Is your dog crate trained? While I do occasionally accommodate dogs that aren’t crate trained, please note that there may be times when crating is necessary if I need to leave the house for their own safety. This information helps ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay for your pup!
