Pet care experience

Lover of animals big and small.

The marvelous thing about this service is that it helps me get my much-needed dose of dog love in. I can't have my own dog because my building doesn't permit it, but thanks to Rover, I now have more ways of getting my doggie fix in than just borrowing my family and friends' pups. I grew up loving and nurturing three dogs whose statures and personalities varied considerably. Georgie was a Standard Poodle/Old English Sheep Dog mix, she was sweet and mellow. Ginger was a Snoodle (Schnauzer/Poodle Mix), she was sweet, but shy and suffered from anxiety issues. Last but by no means least, was our little ball of energy, Gigi (Chihuahua/Yorkie/Toy Poodle Mix). As a result, I feel comfortable taking care of pets with all types of personalities and different sizes. I have looked after my family and friends, homes and pets since my teens, and I did not begin to care for other homes and pets outside of my immediate circle until I began to do a year's service with Americorps and needed to supplement my income. After my year of service ended, I decided that I enjoyed looking after people's homes and pets so much that I would make it my full-time job, here I am are nine years later and still loving it. Because I have been doing this for so long I have looked after all sorts of animals; chickens, turkeys, geese, rats, cats, fish, turtles, dogs, birds... I'm sure the list will continue to grow. My year of service made my passion for helping those in need and providing services to make my community a better place even stronger. I hope I can continue to do so for a long time to come. I always strive to leave the houses that I look after, in good or better condition than I found them and would love to give your fur or non-furry family and home the outstanding care they deserve so that you can take care of your everyday life and/or travel without any worry or anxiety.

Chelsea is truly exceptional. Her communication is outstanding, and she gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. One of our dogs has medical needs, and she kept us thoroughly informed every step of the way (along with updates on our younger puppy) and followed all care instructions perfectly. We came home to a spotless house and two very happy, well-loved pups. We couldn’t recommend her more highly.

Chelsea was incredible with my two anxious girls. We’re typically very stressed leaving our girls but we felt calm with Chelsea. Our youngest, Piper is very shy and skittish around new people and Chelsea was patient and even accommodated a last-minute house sitting request under these circumstances. They were besties by the end of her stay! She was also great with our oldest, Mimi who can be very stubborn on walks. She was communicative throughout her entire stay and we came home to two happy pups and our house just as we left it. Highly recommend Chelsea for any pup care - especially with anxious, shy, reactive pups who need a little extra patience and love ❤️

House Sitting • Jan 21, 2026

Chelsea went above and beyond housesitting our 75lb senior German Shepherd with mobility issues. We were very nervous leaving our dog with someone for a weekend, since our dog requires someone to fully support her back end to move and go outside to the bathroom, in addition to requiring meds and sanitary wipes. Chelsea alleviated our nerves and provided peace of mind with frequent updates and pictures, and our house looked cleaner than we had left it! We were lucky to book Chelsea within a few weeks of our trip, and she was flexible and accommodating scheduling a meet and greet! We would highly recommend Chelsea!

Schedule

Pet sitting is my full-time job so I will be able to focus all of my attention on giving your pets and home the best care. I may occasionally have other drop-in visits or walks to do, but when I am staying in your home your pet will be my top priority.

Cats
0 to 15 lbs
16 to 40 lbs
41 to 100 lbs
Chelsea can host up to 2 drop-ins per day
Does your fur baby have any quirks? What are their favorite things to do? What's their temperament? Is there anything I can do to make the transition of not having their loved one around easier? It would also be good to know about specific commands you use with them, so I can communicate with them easily. What rules do you have in place for them, e.g., are they allowed on furniture? I also want to know if they have allergies, your vet's name/number/location, how much exercise you wish them to have. The more information you provide, the better. I'm a big fan of details. I believe that good communication and details will ensure that the experience for everybody (you, your pet and me) is the best possible one. I am a pet sitter who believes in the equal status of all animals so I have no preference as to the type or breed of your loved one.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
