In the past I have met up with the dog and their person at least once to get to know them a little and so they know who I am when I got to watch them. I will go through important things with the owner; feeding times/amount, allergies, contact in case of emergency, where they typically walk, if they go to parks or walk on paths, and the rules they have for their house. I keep the door locked at all times while housesitting, and I try to avoid other dogs on walks if that is a trigger. While the owner is away, I send cute photos of their animal to them as much as they want!

It's great for me to know how the dog walks on leash, what kind of leash/harness setup the owner uses, and any things that make them feel uncomfortable, fearful, or overly excited (ex: squirrels, other dogs, bicycles, cars, people, etc).
A typical day
I love to play with the dogs, so I will engage with them playing fetch, basic tricks for treats, and work with any other toys they may have on hand. I have a car and can take them for rides, if the owner would like, to nature paths for on leash walks for safety! In the past I've loved going to the beach or a big fenced field for zoomies!

***I currently work full time hours in the morning (5 am to 1 pm) Sunday through Thursday in Bedford, NH. I am typically available everyday after 2 PM. I am available for walks and house sitting!*** I have had a hand in caring for dogs my entire life, from small Yorkies, to boisterous Labs and Cockapoos. Since I was young I have helped feed, walk, groom, and bathe my family pets. I have since volunteered at an animal shelter and worked as a dog daycare attendant. I love dogs and missed having one in my life, so I began volunteering at a local shelter. Working in a shelter and daycare environment taught me so much about dogs and their language. I am passionate about working with dogs and have been researching during my free time and learning more about positive reinforcement. As of right now, I am offering walks and house sitting. I find house sitting, instead of boarding, sets the dogs up to feel most comfortable and confident. I watch cats too! Feel free to take a look at my reviews!

I have an old dog thats gets kinda cranky sometimes and Chelsea was awesome. Very friendly, on time. You can tell right away that she loves animals. Highly recommend. Hope in the future that Chelsea will always be available to take care of my animals.

Chelsea was great! This was our first time ever using a pet sitter and she made it such a great experience! She took great care of our dog with walks and playtime everyday and sent the cutest photo updates! She also left our home neat and tidy! We would definitely book Chelsea again!
