Information Chelsea P. would like to know about your pet

Important things to know about your pet would be: allergies, likes/dislikes, sociability with people and other animals, how likely are they to be stressed with you gone, what is their usual routine, and anything else you can think of!

A typical day

Every dog is different! Some prefer lots of scratches and play, others are more chill and prefer some space until we get to know each other better. Let me know what makes your dog happy.

Pet care experience

Hello! My name is Chelsea and I am a University of Alberta graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Health. This means I come with both knowledge and practical experience in the areas of companion animal health, behaviour, welfare, nutrition, etc. I am currently employed in the animal welfare field, and I have also worked in pet nutrition, veterinary clinics, animal shelters, with local animal rescues, farms, research facilities etc. I have been professionally trained as an animal protection officer and in proper animal handling techniques, positive reinforcement training, and caring for animals that might have special needs (Ex. behavioural, medical). I consider myself to be an easy going, patient, enthusiastic animal lover, who also enjoys photography and would be happy to update you with photos of your animals during my time with them. If you feel I would be a right fit for your pets, please contact me with any questions. While I am most certainly an animal lover I also understand that with every animal comes their person and I want to make you as happy as I do your pet. I look forward to hearing from you!

Chelsea took excellent care of our cat Agatha while we were away. We really appreciated all the pictures we got so we knew she was doing okay. Absolutely recommend, you won’t regret choosing Chelsea.

Chelsea took care of our cats for almost 2 weeks, one which needed 2 insulin shots a day. She was amazing, always giving us updates and sending pics. She was so great, we will definitely contact her the next time we have to be away. Denice & Kris
