Chelsea can care for
Availability
My schedule is flexible, and pet care is currently one of my primary commitments. I’m available most afternoons, evenings, and overnight, making it easy to maintain your pet’s routine and provide consistent care. I understand how important reliability is, so I communicate clearly, arrive on time, and make every effort to accommodate each family’s scheduling needs. Sundays are generally reserved for personal time, but I’m happy to discuss extended stays or special circumstances when needed.

Safety, trust & environment
I understand that inviting someone into your home requires a great deal of trust, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. I treat every home with the same respect I would expect someone to show in my own. I carefully follow all care instructions, maintain your pet’s normal routine, ensure doors, gates, and leashes are secure, clean up after myself and your pet, and provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I also appreciate clear communication before each booking. I encourage pet parents to share any household routines, preferences, or specific house rules ahead of time so I can respect your home, meet your expectations, and provide the best care possible. I never want to make assumptions when a simple conversation can ensure we’re on the same page. Every animal is different, so I pay close attention to body language and behavior, allowing pets to become comfortable at their own pace while always prioritizing their safety. My experience volunteering with shelter animals has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and creating a calm environment for pets who may be anxious, fearful, or adjusting to a new person. My goal is simple: for you to return home to a pet who feels safe, loved, and well cared for—and to a home that’s just as clean, respected, and thoughtfully cared for as you left it.

Pet care experience
Your Pet is My Priority 🐕🦺🦮🐈! 💖More info about your PAWtential Pet Caregiver 💖 I served as a Project Coordinator with Mobilization at Xavier, where I led volunteer initiatives with the Louisiana SPCA and Take Paws Rescue. In that role, I organized and guided fellow volunteers while helping cultivate a culture of compassionate service toward animals. I worked with dogs and cats of all ages, personalities, and medical needs. My experience includes walking, feeding, bathing, grooming, providing enrichment, caring for quarantined puppies who still needed socialization, supporting nursing mothers and their litters, and spending time with animals recovering from trauma, blindness, injuries, gunshot wounds, and separation anxiety. I’ve also helped reunite lost dogs with their families and connect stray or abandoned animals with safe, loving homes. I understand that every pet is different, so I take the time to learn their routines, body language, and personalities to help them feel comfortable and secure. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, senior, or has special needs, I’ll care for them with patience, reliability, and the same attention I would give my own.
