Availability
I work full time, Monday through Friday, but my schedule is quite flexible. I work from my office at the U of M, so early morning, mid-day, and evening walks and check-ins are easy to manage when I have the ability to plan ahead.

Safety, trust & environment
In my own home, my dogs are fed once in the morning and once in the evening. They have a yard where they spend a great deal of time when the weather is nice. They go on regular walks, and we sometimes go to the dog park. My three cats have automatic feeders that drop food twice daily. Water is always accessible for all of our pets. When caring for animals in clients' homes, I find it very important to follow instructions carefully. Not only do I make sure I am providing what the client has requested, I also enjoy playing and spending time with the pets I am caring for and giving them lots of love and pets (but only if that's what they want!).
Information Chelsea L. would like to know about your pet
The most important things for me to know about your pets are their routine, your expectations for my interactions with them, if they have any special needs or should be handled in a particular way, and if there are any health conditions or behaviors I should be aware of.
A typical day
I love going on walks through the neighborhood and whatever local parks are available. If dog parks are something your dog loves, I would be excited to take them! Fetch and frisbee are also activities I am well-practiced in with my own dogs, and my high energy Border Collie mix loves to run alongside a bicycle.

Pet care experience
Since I was a child, I have assisted in the care of animals. My family has always had at least one dog and cat in the home, and I worked as a kennel assistant and veterinary assistant at a veterinary clinic for many years beginning at age 13. At the age of 16 when I began driving on my own, I began to house sit and pet sit in the summers. I found this work very rewarding and loved meeting all of the new animals. I love spending time with animals, dogs and cats in particular, and strive to provide the best for them when they are left in my care.

Reviews

Chelsea was communicated as needed. We appreciated the updates and her patience and understanding with our dogs. She went above and beyond caring for them.

Chelsea was amazing! Helping me an my pup even when there was a snow storm. Thank you so much for everything!!!

Chelsea did exactly what we needed and I felt great about having her drop in and walk Sam! She communicated well and was very reliable.

Chelsea was great with our pups and showed up on time as promised for potty breaks (super important for a potty training puppy). Would definitely recommend. Thank you, Chelsea!
