A lifetime of love for animals
We have raised high-energy border collies since they were puppies to be well-behaved "family members." We have watched dogs of all kinds (including great danes, pitbulls, huskies, and jack russell terriers) for many friends and relatives through the years. Our time on Rover has given us even more experience with dogs of all ages and sizes (puppies, seniors, and dogs from 2lbs to 200lbs). We love watching dogs and seeing them play and interact with each other. We also have experience with cats of all ages (from bottle-fed kittens to senior cats). We currently have 3 cats, and have experience with different feeding schedules and pill regimens.

I was driving from Chicago to Upstate New York for a hiking trip (Mammoth March) and was understandably nervous about leaving my dog behind. After reading Chelsea’s reviews, I felt much more at ease and decided to reach out to her—and I’m so glad I did. Chelsea was excellent from start to finish. She understood my concerns and made me feel comfortable leaving my dog in her care. My dog had a great time playing and hanging out with his new furry friends, and Chelsea kept me updated with photos throughout his stay, which really helped put my mind at ease. I highly recommend Chelsea and would absolutely trust her with my dog again!
Thankful Chelsea and Derek were able to take Bandit on short notice. Thankful to have a place to take Bandit where I feel comfortable leaving him and where he enjoys his time.
The best, as always-my dog was so excited to be at Derek & Chelsea’s that he almost jumped out of my car’s front window when we pulled into their driveway!
Another fun day at doggie day care!
Bandit clearly had another wonderful visit…his first overnight! Very relaxed and well balanced when I picked him up and brought him home. Much gratitude to Chelsea and Derek!

Dates de la garde
We have the availability to care for your pets every day of the week. One of us works part time and the other is on full time pet care! We love taking the dogs on outings and playing with them on the weekend. For boarding, our pick up and drop off times are as follows: Monday: 7 AM - 10 PM Tuesday: 1 PM - 10 PM Wednesday: 7 AM - 10 PM Thursday: 7 AM - 5 PM Friday: 7 AM - 10 PM Saturday: 1 PM - 3 PM & 7 PM - 10 PM Sunday: 5 PM - 10 PM Since we’re a home-based business, we kindly ask that all drop-offs and pick-ups happen during these hours to help us maintain a calm environment for everyone (and give us a bit of family time too!). Please let us know in advance when you’ll be arriving so we can be ready to greet you and your pet.

Owning border collies means you are always ready to be active. And all that activity means keeping them safe and healthy, while also having fun. We have a large fenced in yard for outdoor play. We also have runners and tie outs if necessary. We use gates to separate areas of the house and to make sure feeding time isn't stressful. We have our doorway penned off so no one goes outside without a leash on. We have a few crates to keep dogs separate and safe while sleeping at night.

We have a big fenced in yard with lots of room to play fetch and other outside games. We have a large inside space for the dogs to play when it is cold or rainy. There are also several parks and hikes near our house that we love to go on with our dog and any dogs we are watching. We keep track of bathroom breaks, food and medication schedules to ensure the best communication, and to make sure your pet is getting the best care possible. We will send photos of your pet enjoying their time however often you prefer!
