We conduct a full-time boarding business (Peaceful Psyche LLC.). Our scheduled is mainly catered around our own fur baby needs which aligns perfect with all guests. Safety Considerations: Fenced in yard Fur babies are never left in the yard unsupervised (hoomans are always watching). Frequent potty breaks 24 hours surveillance in the home and the back yard. Hoomans do not leave their home for more than 4 hours. We are homebodies! When eating all fur babies are separated. When hoomans are not around or leave the house, fur babies are kept in their own gated area in the home. AC is on at all times when fur babies are in the home. No fur babies are left outside on their own for long durations. Our boarding facility is best suited for indoor dogs. Playtime safety: We don’t allow mounting, excessive barking, bullying, or overly rough play during group time. While some of these behaviors are common, they can cause stress or tension in the group. If your dog frequently mounts or shows similar behaviors, we’ll remove them from group play, as it’s not conducive to a calm, positive environment. We have zero tolerance for humping and step in immediately—even before it happens. After observing so many dogs over the years, we’ve gotten very good at reading body language and can usually tell when a dog is about to try. While humping can be caused by excitement, stress, or habit, it often makes other dogs uncomfortable and can quickly lead to tension or fights. We also absolutely do not allow dogs to chase other dogs, especially when it’s clear the other dog isn’t okay with it. If a fur baby looks uncomfy during play, we break it up. We are sticklers for respectful play. Our goal is to make sure all dogs feel safe, comfortable, and able to enjoy their time with us.

We do require a Boarding Readiness Evaluation before the very first boarding reservation. This will be a 3-step boarding readiness evaluation, and it's designed to help ease your fur baby into the boarding process in a way that's comfortable and safe for them. Here's how it works: 1. Meet and Greet - This is the first step to get to know your dog and assess their temperament. You and your fur baby will come over to our home during the meet and greet for no more than 25 minutes.  2. Trial Daycare Session -A full day of doggy daycare where your dog stays with us without an overnight stay.
A trial run to see how they interact with other pups and get familiar with our environment.
 3. Trial Overnight Boarding - A one-night stay to ensure they're comfortable before committing to a longer stay. Once your furry friend completes this evaluation, they are welcome to stay with us anytime, for as long as you like!

A typical day

We love including your fur baby into our family as our own. Our day includes walks, treats, cuddles, and time to relax. We are homebodies and love to stay home most of the time. Our day revolves around the fur babies and their needs. Oftentimes we start the day with a walk and nap time. We also have a backyard to run around and have fun in! We also love to talk to the fur babies as if they are our furrends.

A peaceful psyche while you’re away

Pet care experience

** Check Peaceful Psyche on Google for more details. Hi, I’m Chelsea... a dog lover, and yes, also a Doctor of Clinical Psychology. I have always wanted a dog since I was three years old. I didn't get my first dog until 2 years ago, which is when I got my Copper Bear. Growing up, my father was in the military, and we moved around a lot. Both of my parents are also dog lovers, but they always preached to me how important it is to include dogs in our family. The reason I never had a dog is that my parents emphasized how sad they would be if we went away on frequent trips, and the stress that would be on them from our consistent moves. Growing up with these values taught me the importance of treating my fur babies like my human children. I didn't get my first fur baby (Copper) until I knew I was ready to dedicate my life to them. I hope to be a safe and responsible place you can lean on when you are busy or plan to go away. When your fur baby comes to stay, I provide regular walks, comfort, and especially include them as if they are a part of my family. In addition, if your fur baby sleeps with you, I will let them sleep with me. This is why I like to ask how they sleep, so I can give them love when they need but also give them their own space if needed. So excited to meet your fur baby, love on them, and welcome them to our family. For the past five years, I have been watching over my family and friends’ fur baby. I always treat them like my own. I provide so much love and empathy, especially when they need extra comfort when you are away. It makes me happy to see your fur baby happy.

My dog came home pooped because she had such a fun day of play with Chelsea, Copper, and Momoko. Chelsea communicates often and has been very accommodating. I feel so lucky to have found her to care for my dog. :)
