Pet care experience
Play, enrichment, and training!
I have an active 5 yr old rescue dog who I initially fostered. We have tried a number of dog sports including barn hunt, sprinter, lure and weight pull. While I'm not a dog trainer, I am well educated on dog body language, training, reactivity and fulfillment. I'm happy to maintain consistency in your training journey. On walks I like to focus on the dog being able to sniff and explore their environment. I believe that walks are for the dog so I let them dictate most of it as long as its safe. I also like to take moments to build your dog's confidence through play and urban agility. If there is any training you would like me to keep up on walks such as loose leash walking, I will gladly do so. I'm also experienced with various tools such as head halters, prong, e collars.

The best dog sitter I found for my working line GSD. She managed his energy levels perfectly and he was a happy guy to spend time with Chelsea. Highly recommend her if you are looking for a sitter for your pet.
Chelsea took great care of our dog Drago while we were away for a wedding. Drago is on e-collar for off leash, and wears a prong on leash and it's wonderful to find someone whose experienced in these tools! She was also very sweet and cuddly and allowed Drago to veg out on her couch. We are so happy to have found Chelsea and we hope to be back!

Chelsea is a very caring, patient, and very knowledgeable about animals and their needs(and if she doesn't know she will go out of her way to learn).She treats every animal with love and respect, as if they are her own children. I have 2 rescue cats, that are very shy and run away even from me and she's watched them for me and when I come back they were sitting with her purring and happy. She is kind and gentle, as well as fun and always assures the needs of your furry friend is met. She's the best !

Schedule
I work a hybrid schedule and would be available for daycare and boarding during those days and weekends. Repeat clients will get priority for bookings

Safety, trust & environment
Safety is my number one priority, baby gates, no indoor plants, no harsh chemicals in/around dogs space, meds/toxic foods are locked away. Crates for safety and separation, no high value chews or toys such as bones left out. Dogs will also be fed in separate spaces to prevent food related guarding. I put a lot of time into training and playing with my dog and any pet in my home will be given the same care
Pets
A typical day
Walks consist of some training, along with play time and lots of time for them to sniff and explore. This way, I ensure that they're mentally as well as physically tired. I love involving breed specific games, like scent games for hounds so they are fulfilled. I believe in keeping dogs active so we spend a lot of time outdoors - rain or shine. I also provide them with enrichment through puzzles, slow feeders trick training and indoor agility. I'm a firm believer in play based training and relationship building. I am experienced with high drive dogs and have used a variety of different training tools. Also happy to teach certain behaviors such as recall.
