Pet care experience

Shy-cat friendly, big-dog ready

I’m a lifelong animal lover and a current dog + cat mom, so I get what real peace of mind feels like. I’ve grown up with animals my whole life, big dogs, tiny pups, confident cats, and shy kittens, so reading body language and keeping calm routines is second nature. I’m gentle, reliable, and treat your babies like my own. I follow your instructions to the letter, treat your home with respect, and send clear photo updates so you always know how your babies are doing. What I handle with care Meds: Pills, liquid syringes, transdermal ear gel, and eye/ear drops—on schedule, with clear notes. Walks & adventures: Safe, sniff-friendly city walks or park trips (harness check, water, paw wipes). Cats, too: Fresh water, clean bowls, scoop every visit, sanitize on schedule, and track litter output. Multi-pet homes: Staggered feedings, door discipline, and stress-free dog–cat dynamics. All ages: Patient with seniors and puppies/kittens; gentle intro for nervous or rescue pets. If you’re looking for someone calm, communicative, and safety-first, I’ve got you. Let’s set up a quick meet & greet. Also I am a professional photographer so I will make sure to snap some cute photos of your fur baby while you're away!

Chelcy was amazing. Very easy setting up the meet and greet. We then had her watch our little golden for a long in house visit. Took our dog out on multiple walks and sent us pictures during the stay. Very competent, everything we want in a sitter 5/5

I truly cannot say enough good things about Chelcy! She stayed in our home with our pup while we were away for a week. She was highly responsive, gave amazing updates and sent beautiful photos. I think our furry friend would have liked for our vacation to last a bit longer so he could have been spoiled by her more ;). Don’t hesitate to book and rest assured your pup (and home) will be lovingly cared for while you’re away.

Calendar and availability

Schedule

Hi! I’m Chelcy, a work-from-home dog & cat mom when I’m not out producing concert tours. Between tours, my schedule is steady and I’d love to spend that time caring for your pets. My partner and our older child are animal lovers too, so there’s plenty of calm attention and gentle energy in our home. We also have one friendly dog and one cat of our own. My care style is simple: safe, clean, and consistent. I follow your routine to the letter, send real photo updates, and keep bowls/litter areas tidy. I’m comfortable with meds (pills, liquids, ear/eye drops, transdermal gel), patient with seniors and shy rescues, and I’m big on sniff-rich walks and low-stress play for both dogs and cats. Multi-pet homes are welcome—I manage door discipline, staggered feedings, and dog-cat boundaries so everyone stays relaxed. Availability: I’m generally available any day during the week when I’m not touring, with some weekend flexibility—just ask. I keep my calendar current and post touring blackout dates in advance. If you see it open, I’m good to go. Let’s set up a quick meet & greet so your pet can say hi.

Where your pet will stay

Safety, trust & environment

When I’m caring for your pets in your home, I treat your space like a respectful guest: I follow your entry/alarm instructions, lock up carefully, and leave everything as I found it (or tidier). No unapproved guests, no candles, and no strong cleaners. I keep things familiar for your pets, same feeding spots, litter setup, walk routes, and the cues you already use. Shy animals get time and space. Each visit includes fresh water, washed bowls, a quick floor wipe if needed, and litter scooped every time (boxes refreshed or sanitized on your schedule). Walks are safe and sniffy with a front-clip harness preferred, traffic-aware routes, weather checks, paw wipes after, and no forced dog-dog greetings. I’m comfortable giving meds: pills, liquids, ear/eye drops, or transdermal gel—and I note what was given and when. In multi-pet homes, I use staggered feeding, door discipline, and clear dog-cat boundaries so everyone stays relaxed. We’ll start with a quick meet & greet to learn routines, triggers, and your vet/emergency contacts. You’ll get timely messages and photos every visit. If something seems off, I contact you (or your emergency contact) first and, if needed, head to your vet or the nearest 24-hour clinic. Your training rules and house rules are honored exactly as written.

Pets

A typical day

f your pet stays at my home (boarding/daycare): Mornings start calm: potty break and a sniffy walk, then breakfast on schedule (meds if needed), fresh water, and a quick brush or paw check. Late morning we rotate enrichment like snuffle mats, puzzle feeders, and nose work “find it.” Cats get wand-toy play, window “bird TV,” and a freshly scooped box. Midday brings another potty or walk, a water refill, and a quiet nap in a crate or cozy spot, plus a photo update for you. In the afternoon we do light training refreshers (sit, wait, loose leash) or a park stroll if you have approved it. Cats choose play, cuddle time, or independent chill. Evening means dinner on time, tidy bowls, litter scooped, an easy sunset stroll or window watch, and one last potty before a calm wind-down. For fun, I mix in sniffaris, puzzle games, snuffle mats, scent-box searches, lick mats or chews, trick training, low impact flirt pole, and hide-and-seek treat hunts. For cats I use feather or laser sessions (ending with a “catch” toy), puzzle treats, catnip or silvervine, cardboard forts, and gentle grooming. If I’m caring for your pet in your home (drop-ins/house sitting): I mirror your routine: the same feeding spots and times, your walk routes, your litter cadence, and your cues, so everything feels familiar. Dogs get structured, sniff-friendly walks (no forced greetings), fresh water, paw wipes, and either enrichment or cuddle time based on energy and age. Cats get fresh water and bowls, litter scooped every visit, and play matched to their vibe. Shy kitties get quiet, consent-based attention. You will receive time stamped photos and a short log each visit that covers meals, water, potty or litter, and mood or play. Safety and comfort, always: On leash outside (no dog parks), harness fit double checked, weather-aware pacing, separate feeding in multi-pet homes, and slow, respectful introductions. I tailor activities to your pet’s age, energy, and any medical notes you share.
