Veterinary Assistant loves Cat Care

Cats have been a big part of my work throughout my years as a veterinary assistant in general practice, ER, and specialty clinics. Working in veterinary medicine gave me a lot of experience handling cats with different personalities, from very social cats to those that are shy or easily stressed. I’m comfortable reading feline body language and taking things at the cat’s pace so they feel as relaxed as possible. Some cats warm up quickly, while others prefer a little space at first, and I’m happy to respect whatever makes them comfortable. Because of my veterinary background, I’m also comfortable administering medications if your cat needs them, including oral medications, injections such as insulin, and subcutaneous fluids. Many of the cats I’ve cared for have been seniors or had medical needs, so I understand how important it is to be patient, gentle, and attentive to changes in behavior. I’m very comfortable with shy or cautious cats and always let them approach me at their own pace. I’m also happy to care for senior cats or those who need medications or extra monitoring while their owners are away. Most cats are happiest staying in their own home, so I focus on keeping their routine familiar and low-stress while you’re away. I’m also careful to keep litter boxes clean and check food, water, and general behavior during each visit. I keep an eye out for changes in appetite, litter box habits, or behavior that might indicate a health concern. My goal is always to make sure cats feel safe and comfortable in their own environment while their owners are away. I’m happy to follow your cat’s usual routine and send updates and photos so you know how they’re doing.

Safety, trust & environment

Your pet’s safety is my priority. If we leave fenced areas, your pet will always be on leash. I always pay close attention to body language and comfort levels so pets feel safe and relaxed, and I’m happy to let nervous pets warm up at their own pace. I offer pickup and drop-off services if transportation is difficult. I know how important it is to feel confident leaving your pet with someone else, so I’m always happy to send regular updates and photos while you’re away.

Chaselyn is amazing!! We had peace of mind leaving our fur babies with such a kind, caring, and responsible person. She really made us feel comfortable and confident with her abilities while we were away. We loved the photos of our pups chilling out and calm. She will be our first call the next time we need an angel to watch over our little guys. This was a positive 1st time experience having a dog sitter. Thank you so much Chaselyn!!

Dog Walking • Jun 08, 2026

Thank you to Chase! I went out of town for a day and asked her to take my dog on a walk to let her have a break. My dog is anxious/fearful and even though she worked so hard to get my dog out of the house it didn’t happen. I was already very impressed in general with how she dealt with my dog and her fear. My pup is just a tough nut to crack and it’s not at all her fault. She is very good. I will use her in future and highly recommend anyone to use her services.

This is the 2nd time we've been able to rely on Chase. We are so grateful for her care of our two dogs while we were away for the weekend. We received tons of updates and photos and our dogs were very well taken care of.

Our dogs were a big fan of Chase at first meeting, and she took great care of them while we were gone for the day hiking in ‘Mt. Shasta. We appreciated her working us into her schedule at the last minute, too! Very communicative, we felt very assured our dogs were in good hands

Schedule

My schedule is very flexible, and I’m able to offer walks or visits at different times depending on your pet’s needs. Whether your pet needs a quick potty break, a walk for exercise, or some company during the day, I’m happy to work with you to find a schedule that fits their routine. I’m also comfortable scheduling visits around medication times if your pet has medical needs. I’m always happy to schedule a meet and greet beforehand so you and your pet can feel comfortable.

I’d love to hear about your pet’s routine, personality, and any quirks that make them unique. Let me know about medications, mobility issues, behavioral triggers, favorite toys, or anything else that helps them feel comfortable. I’m happy to follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible so things feel familiar for them.
