My schedule is very flexible, and I’m able to offer walks or visits at different times depending on your pet’s needs. Whether your pet needs a quick potty break, a walk for exercise, or some company during the day, I’m happy to work with you to find a schedule that fits their routine. I’m also comfortable scheduling visits around medication times if your pet has medical needs. I’m always happy to schedule a meet and greet beforehand so you and your pet can feel comfortable.

Safety, trust & environment
Your pet’s safety is my priority. If we leave fenced areas, your pet will always be on leash. I always pay close attention to body language and comfort levels so pets feel safe and relaxed, and I’m happy to let nervous pets warm up at their own pace. I offer pickup and drop-off services if transportation is difficult. I know how important it is to feel confident leaving your pet with someone else, so I’m always happy to send regular updates and photos while you’re away.
Information Chaselyn L. would like to know about your pet
I’d love to hear about your pet’s routine, personality, and any quirks that make them unique. Let me know about medications, mobility issues, behavioral triggers, favorite toys, or anything else that helps them feel comfortable. I’m happy to follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible so things feel familiar for them.
A typical day
Every pet is a little different, so I like to adjust the day to match their energy level and routine. We’ll usually spend time playing, going on walks, and doing enrichment activities depending on what your pet enjoys. I also like incorporating simple enrichment or mental stimulation games when appropriate, since many dogs enjoy having something to think about as well as physical exercise. There’s always plenty of downtime built in too. Some pets want to play all day, while others are happiest just relaxing nearby. I’m happy to follow your pet’s usual routine so things stay familiar while you’re away.

Gentle Care from a Vet Assistant
Pet care experience
Animals have been a big part of my life for many years. I spent about a decade working as a veterinary assistant in general practice clinics, ER, and specialty hospitals, including some Fear-Free facilities. That experience gave me a strong understanding of animal behavior, medical care, and how to help pets feel as calm and comfortable as possible in unfamiliar situations. Because of my veterinary background, I’m very comfortable administering medications and caring for pets with medical needs. I’ve helped with insulin injections, subcutaneous fluids, oral medications, and other treatments, and I understand how important it is to be gentle and patient with pets that may already be feeling vulnerable. I also spent about two years working as an animal control officer and helping at the local shelter. That work exposed me to animals from all kinds of backgrounds, including pets that were frightened, under-socialized, or coming from difficult situations. It taught me a lot about reading body language, approaching animals carefully, and helping them feel safe enough to relax. Those skills carry over into pet sitting, especially when meeting new pets that may be unsure about a new person in their space. Alongside my veterinary work, I’ve been pet sitting and house sitting on and off for around ten years for friends, clients, and referrals. Many of those pets had medical needs, so I’ve helped owners administer medications and injections and sometimes helped teach them how to do it themselves. One of the things I enjoy most about pet sitting is getting to see animals relax and show their personalities once they’re comfortable in their own home. I’ve also spent about fifteen years working on farms (and even had one of my own), caring for a wide variety of animals. Some of those farms bred dogs, so I had the chance to help care for litters of puppies and watch them grow. Working with so many different types of animals over the years has made me comfortable adapting to different personalities, energy levels, and care needs. Many of the pets I’ve worked with over the years have been seniors, animals with medical needs, or pets that are a little nervous around new people. Because of my background in veterinary clinics and animal control, I’m very comfortable taking things at the pet’s pace and paying close attention to body language. Some animals warm up right away, and others just need a little patience and quiet time. I’m also happy to care for pets who need medications or extra monitoring while their owners are away. I really enjoy getting to know each pet’s personality and figuring out what helps them feel most at home. My goal is always for pets to feel safe, relaxed, and cared for while their owners are away. If you’re not sure whether your pet would be a good fit, feel free to reach out and ask. I’m always happy to talk through their needs.

Reviews

Thank you to Chase! I went out of town for a day and asked her to take my dog on a walk to let her have a break. My dog is anxious/fearful and even though she worked so hard to get my dog out of the house it didn’t happen. I was already very impressed in general with how she dealt with my dog and her fear. My pup is just a tough nut to crack and it’s not at all her fault. She is very good. I will use her in future and highly recommend anyone to use her services.

Third time using Chase while in the area and are so grateful for her great care of our pups!

This is the 2nd time we've been able to rely on Chase. We are so grateful for her care of our two dogs while we were away for the weekend. We received tons of updates and photos and our dogs were very well taken care of.

Our dogs were a big fan of Chase at first meeting, and she took great care of them while we were gone for the day hiking in ‘Mt. Shasta. We appreciated her working us into her schedule at the last minute, too! Very communicative, we felt very assured our dogs were in good hands
