A typical day
We do a long morning walk before the heat comes - there is a huge park and walking trail out our gate that is between a 2-5 mile walk depending on your dogs preference. We have a dog pool for hot days and misters if your dog wants to hang outside.

Pet care experience
I have one small dog - a rescued Jack Russell/Pinscher. I am a trained behavioral therapist (humans, but the skills are generalizable). We hike or run every morning and take a long walk every evening. I have a backpack for dogs who want to be outside but can't climb the mountain for arthritis or heart issues. My dogs are allowed on the furniture and sleep with me, but am happy to offer crate training and basic obedience support if desired during your stay. I am happy to send you regular updates, pictures and general activity reports throughout your stay as well. Let me know if you would like to discuss any concerns, special activities, feeding issues, preferences or scheduling issues before booking.

Charna was awesome! When we arrived, she showed us around, and her place is very clean and certainly safe for our pups. Even though it was just an overnight stay, she sent us pics and updates several times. This was our first time using her and will certainly use her again. Thank you Charna!
