Safety, trust & environment

I have a canine first aid kit which I bring with me on walks and I have the numbers of vets in Cambridge saved in my contacts, including Vet24 in Milton. Before house sitting, I'll ask you to put me in contact with a trusted neighbour who can help me get your dog to the vet if they need an urgent visit.

Information Charlotte W. would like to know about your pet

Please make me aware if your pet has any special medical needs or behavioural issues before the meet and greet. We can cover further details at the meet and greet.

A typical day

I bring my house sitting kit to owners' homes, which includes Kongs, lick mats, treat dispensers and toys (all sterilised between uses). I love obedience training, so if you have a smart dog I'll teach them a few new tricks. Your pet will also spend time playing hide and seek (most dogs love it), doing scentwork and burning off energy with frisbee, fetch and flirt poles.

Pet care experience

I grew up with a border collie, Biggles, who was in our family from puppyhood to the age of fifteen and a half. I've been dog sitting on Rover for over a year and I've gained experience with dogs of many different breeds and life stages. I have experience caring for special needs dogs, seniors, reactive dogs, brachycephalic breeds and more.

Charlotte looked after our extremely anxious dogs yesterday and managed perfectly. She clearly loves animals and is confident and reassuring with Roxy, who is very nervous and barks a lot. Charlotte has a calming presence which I think will work well for our animals when she takes care of them for longer periods of time later in the year. I am looking forward to the dogs getting to know her better and making friends!

Charlotte looked after our elderly dachshund recently for 2 weeks in our home. She did an extremely good job. Charlotte was responsible, caring, very proactive and we cannot recommend her highly enough. She left the house in perfect condition. During her stay she needed to take the dog to a vet and she handled a potentially difficult situation perfectly. We would not hesitate to leave our dog or our home in her care again.

Charlotte is an excellent dogsitter, very communicative and proactive. Our dog had plenty of fun with her and was happy and calm at our return. I highly recommend Charlotte and we will be booking again with her in the future.
