Hi, my name is Charlotte, and I’m the founder of BellsandWhisles. Based in Sutton, I offer loving and reliable home boarding and house-sitting services for dogs. I have a real passion for animal care and over four years of hands-on experience working in a busy dog daycare environment. I have also completed work experience in kennels and catteries, veterinary surgeries and grooming, giving me experience with a wide range of dogs and their individual needs. I hold Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications in Animal Care and Management, as well as a degree in Animal Science. I am fully insured and first aid trained, so your dog’s safety, welfare and happiness will always be my top priority. I understand that every dog is different, and I take the time to get to know their individual personality, routine and needs. Whether your dog is energetic and playful, nervous or requires a little extra patience and reassurance, I will provide them with the care, attention and love they deserve. I have experience with dog behaviour, enrichment, safe handling and creating positive environments for dogs. I believe in treating every dog in my care as if they were my own and making sure they feel comfortable, secure and happy while you are away. I would love to meet you and your dog and discuss how I can provide the best possible care for them. 🐾

Charlotte took amazing care of my puppy Saffy. She not only answered any questions I had and eased any nerves about leaving my puppy but she made it very obvious that Saffy was her first priority. Making sure to note down training requirements, toileting habits and exercise needs. I was sent regular updates with photos and videos of Saffy having a great time and lots of naps too. This gave me the reassurance I chose the right person for the job.
Charlotte helped look after our older cat Oscar whilst we were away on holiday. She was happy to come along for an initial introduction to Oscar which allowed him to get used to her and we could go through all the care instructions - rather important as Oscar took medication. She kept us posted with regular updates and photos which we loved! We felt very at ease with Charlotte coming into our flat and we were happy knowing that she was taking great care of him.
Charlotte looks after honey, my golden retriever for us regularly when we go on holiday. We get lots of pictures/videos showing honey having a great time, especially on her walks. It’s lovely that when we’re away we can relax knowing that honey is being well looked after by someone that treats every dog with so much love & kindness like her own.

Schedule
I’m currently in the process of starting my own pet care business, Bells and Whistles, which means I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to the pets in my care. As I am not currently working another job, I can focus fully on providing attentive, reliable care, including feeding, walks, playtime, enrichment, toilet breaks and plenty of affection. I will always aim to maintain each pet’s usual routine as closely as possible, helping them feel comfortable and settled while their owners are away. With my experience and qualifications in animal care, I’m confident caring for pets with different personalities, energy levels and individual needs.

I take the safety, welfare and happiness of every pet in my care extremely seriously. Whether caring for pets in my home or in their owner’s home, I always follow their usual routine and the owner’s instructions as closely as possible. I make sure pets have a safe, clean and secure environment, with plenty of supervision, exercise, enrichment and affection. Before caring for a pet, I like to learn about their individual needs, personality, routines, feeding requirements, medical needs and any behavioural concerns. I am experienced in working with dogs of different breeds, ages and temperaments, and I understand the importance of recognising body language and allowing each pet to settle at their own pace. I am fully insured, first-aid trained and qualified in Animal Management, with a degree in Animal Science. I will always keep owners updated and ensure their pets are cared for as if they were my own.
