At your house, I would first ask you everything their is to know about your pet. Any medical issues or allergies I should be aware of, but also likes and dislikes. Do we enjoy playing with a tennis ball? Are we afraid of water? Do we enjoy chasing squirrels but we have a recent spay wound and must be crate rested? These are all important to ensure your pet can trust me and also enjoy their time with me. Doors will be triple checked for locking, and I will only lead walk your dogs to ensure that even if they don't respond to my recalls being a stranger) that they don't run away. Don't worry though- I have plenty of experience running alongside a leaded dog to stretch their legs! If you have alarms on your home I will ensure they are on at all times as requested and any information regarding your homes security will be deleted once our playtime is complete. This may involve asking you for this information more than once, but better safe than sorry.
Information Charlotte M. would like to know about your pet
1) if your pet has fleas/illnesses tranferred by bodily fluid (to avoid infecting my own fur baby Minnie) 2) are they dog reactive? Should I be careful walking around other dogs 3) are they nervous of people? Should I take things slow or avoid people on our walks? 4) Is your baby a scavenger? Will any tin can, takeout box or fox poop will be attempted to be devoured on a walk? Do I need to keep a very strict eye out and short leash? Or a non- extendable leash 5) Is your dog an obedient baby or are they currently learning any new tricks/phrases? 6) Has your dog been neutered? 7) Has your dog been vaccinated? 8) Has your dog been microchipped? 9) Has your dog been ill recently? 10) Are there any medications this dog is on I need to know about? 11) Do we have any diertary requirements? 12) What is your babys favourite game/treat?
A typical day
I absolutely LOVE teaching tricks, going for big walks in the fields, tossing a ball or stick etc. I also taught 3 pets hide and seek whereby sweeties are hidden (for dogs) or thrown (for cats) and searched for by your pet. It increases their stimulation and senses, including their problem solving skills and with their favourite treat! Kitties will be played with catnip toys and scratching posts; I try to avoid lazer pens nowadays to avoid frustration. And snuggles are always welcomed (and are my favourite part)

Pet care experience
*from 29th June 2025 has public liability insurance* I have good base knowledge of illnesses/CPR/medications/toxins etc from previously working at a busy vet hospital and from 29th July I also have public liability insurance. I did work experience in a doggy daycare and decided right then and there this is what I wanted to do as my long term goal! Therefore I want as much experience with dogs as possible! I need more exercise and getting a few pennies and getting to meet more pups sounds like a great motivation! I look after my dog Minnie (10 years) and did look after daisy (12 years) before she passed. I also have lots of friends in behavioural training who give me great advice! I am also a cat lover and I have looked after guinea pigs too so if you have more than one pet sitting I could be perfect for you! Due to losing £6 for every £8 my catchment area has reduced to 2 miles; if you are out of this area and are happy to cover bus costs or provide transport send me a message and I'll review these on a case by case basis :) Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope to see you and your baby/babies soon :) ❤

Reviews

Charlotte has been walking and dog sitting Bailey for well over a year now. She is brilliant with Bailey and he adores her and is always excited to see her.

Charlotte is amazing! I could not be happier with the way she looked after my babies! They absolutely adored her! So grateful, I’ll definitely be asking Charlotte again. They’re missing her already! Thank you again Charlotte, you’re a star xxx
