Safety, trust & environment
Your dog’s safety and comfort is always my top priority while they stay with us. We have a large, secure fenced garden where dogs can safely enjoy time outside. All outdoor time is supervised, and because we are a farm with livestock nearby, I make sure dogs are always kept under control and never allowed to chase animals. Inside the house, dogs are treated as part of the family. I introduce dogs slowly and carefully to make sure everyone feels comfortable, and playtime is always supervised. If a dog prefers their own space or needs a quiet break, I have separate areas available so they can relax. All dogs sleep indoors at night. I’m happy to follow whatever routine your dog is used to at home, whether that’s sleeping in their own bed, in a crate if they are crate trained, or in a separate room if they prefer a quieter space. Because of my five years working in a veterinary practice as a Student Veterinary Nurse, I’m confident giving medication if needed (with clear instructions from you). I just ask that owners let me know about any medical conditions, behavioural quirks or dietary needs before the stay so I can make sure your dog is properly cared for. My aim is always to provide a calm, safe and loving home-from-home environment where dogs feel relaxed while their owners are away.

Information Charlotte G. would like to know about your pet
Before your dog stays with us, it really helps if I know a little about them so I can make their stay as comfortable as possible. Because we live on a working dairy farm with livestock and farm cats nearby, I can only accept dogs who won’t chase livestock and who are generally comfortable around other animals. Dogs staying here should also be friendly with other dogs, or at least easy for me to manage safely. Please let me know about anything important in advance, such as your dog’s usual routine, diet or allergies, any medical needs, and any training cues or commands they already know. The more I know about your dog, the easier it is for me to help them settle in and feel at home. Every dog is different, and I’m always happy to work with owners to make sure their dog has a safe and enjoyable stay.
A typical day
A typical day here is relaxed and centred around your dogs needs. In the morning, dogs usually head straight out into the secure garden for some fresh air and a stretch after waking up. After breakfast, we often go for a walk around the farm where there are open fields, quiet tracks and even streams where dogs who enjoy water can have a little paddle. During the day there’s a mix of supervised playtime, exploring outside and relaxing indoors. I make sure dogs have plenty of rest breaks so they don’t become overwhelmed, especially if they’re in a new environment. In the evenings things are much calmer, with dogs settling indoors with the family before bedtime. I always introduce dogs carefully and manage play so everyone feels safe and comfortable, and dogs are never left unsupervised together. Every dog is different, so I always adapt the day depending on their age, energy level and what they enjoy most.

Farm Retreat For Happy Pups
Pet care experience
Hi, I’m Charlotte 👋 I live on our working family dairy farm in the heart on the countryside with our 2 adored labradors and much-loved border collie. Caring for animals has always been huge part of my life. I’ve spent over 5 years working in a busy veterinary practice as a Student Veterinary Nurse so your dogs health, safety and welling being are always my top priority. I’ve owned Labradors for many years and have raised four amazing litters, so I’m very used to lively, playful dogs and giving them the structure and care they need. At home we have a large secure fenced garden and dogs are treated like part of the family. They stay indoors with us and sleep inside at night, just as they would at home. I’m happy to follow your dog’s usual routine, whether that means sleeping in their own bed, in a crate, or in a separate room if they prefer a quiet space. My aim is always to make dogs feel relaxed, safe and loved while their owners are away.
