Information Charlotte D. would like to know about your pet

Let me know if your dog or cat has any special needs or behaviors that we can work to accommodate together (medication, allergies, triggers, behavioral concerns etc).

A typical day

It's most important that I respond to your pet's needs: whether that's a calm sniff walk around the block, a more active nature romp, or playing puzzle games inside the home. I love to spend my time outdoors, and would love to bring your dog along if they're interested! If your dog or cat prefers to chill quietly while I read a book in the same room, I'm happy to accommodate that!

Pet care experience

I'm an Oakland-based designer who's always happy to open my home to more furry friends! I have extensive experience in animal care, including working for a local vet as well as in the Live Animal Center at Boston's Museum of Science. I am comfortable with a variety of animals and understand that each and every pet has their own specific needs. I have raised several rescue dogs & cats and understand the challenges that often come with these transitions. I have been working as a part-time dog walker & cat sitter for the past three years and have worked with extremely skittish dogs, as well as those with aggression issues. All dogs and all pets will find a welcoming home with me. I work primarily from home during the week and have a flexible schedule.

Charlotte did an amazing job with our cat Ginger during our time away. Very clear and quick communication about anything we needed to know and she was sooo great with our little cat Ginger. Ginger is very needy and she clearly got all the attention she deserves when Charlotte would visit. We even need to come pet her in the living room now because well, that’s how Charlotte did it! Very grateful for her expertise and true passion for animals and will absolutely rebook if we are heading out of town again!

Charlotte is a wonderful pet sitter!! She was communicative, responsible, and very thoughtful in taking care of my cat. It was supposed to be hotter than I expected while I was away, and she was great about checking in and offering to help keep my apartment cool for my cat's comfort. He also was so happy to get some lap time and company with her! She's awesome and reliable, and I will absolutely be booking her again for future sitting needs.
