Caring and playful dog & cat lover
I have gained experience in dog care working at my local dog kennels for around a year. Working there, I met a lot of different temperaments and breeds of dog and had to learn about how to personalise your care for the different types of dogs and their needs. I dealt with feeding time, medication, play time and hygiene such as grooming, poo picking and cleaning up after them. Although we never had a dog growing up, I have a lot of love for them and always enjoyed going round to friends and families houses to play with theirs so I get a long with them well. We did however have a cat growing up for a short period. He was an older cat that someone had to sell on and we miss him alot. I feel very comfortable around cats and absolutely love playing with them or just chilling with them. I realise cats don't take as much time to care for as dogs and drop in visits would probably suffice. I am happy to accept cats in my home for longer periods and would charge less accordingly. I have put down five years pet care experience as we have had numerous small pets over the years such as guinea pigs, fish and hamsters which needed attention and care. I have also looked after friends and families dogs, along with working at a dog kennels for a year so I feel it is an apt judgment of my experience. Charlotte looked after Luka perfectly; he didn't want to come home! She was very flexible with timings and kept him an extra night at short notice when I had car trouble and couldn't get back to pick him up. Charlotte kept me updated with messages and photos. Would definitely book with Charlotte again!
Charlotte was fantastic with our little man Beau. Start to finish communication was spot on. Would 100% have Charlotte to look after him again - he’s quite a handful!

Charlotte was amazing … Arrived home to find Norman very happy 😊 House lovely and tidy, we are booking Charlotte again very soon as we feel we have find someone we trust and really appreciate the care she took caring for Norman ( giving him his medication ) . Charlotte was an excellent house sitter. She made an effort to understand the habits of an elderly dog and on my return Rosie was relaxed as if business as usual! Charlotte is a lovely , natural individual, creating just the right atmosphere for a caring experience . Would happily book her again.

Schedule
I currently study at the University of Gloucestershire and work one day a week on Sundays. I am at home all other times of day, aside from when I have uni on Tuesday and Wednesday morning and work on Sunday. It has been very easy to fit dogs into my schedule as I am very flexible and can study at home with the dog to keep me company, or I can take my work to you if needs be!

I have a walled garden and live next to a wonderful park and the Honeybourne line so there os plenty of space for walks and places to play fetch. My home is very pet friendly with no kids, I live with two other professionals who are quiet and tidy and who absolutely adore dogs and cats too. Previous dogs have felt very comfortable in my home and enjoy sleeping on the bed for the extra comfort while their owners are away 😊 I like to spend as much time as possible with your pet and would love to do as much or as little as you think would be right for your pet.
A typical day
Bring along any favourite toys that your dog likes to play with, maybe they have a comfort toy that they like to keep with them, I'll make sure it is safe with me. I'll make sure to keep them entertained with any commands you'd like me to practice, hide and seek games or just endlessly throwing balls for them! Out on walks I'll be more than happy to play fetch and be high energy with them, but also realise sometimes dogs just want to potter around a bit and then come back, so it will be very dog and owner centred. I'll be very happy to take them out on longer walks as I love a hike but will always check with you first if this is something you'd be happy with.

- If your dog has any allergies, that will be important to let me know and also any behaviors that would be unusual for them, indicating they are stressed or in pain. Likes/dislikes or certain quirks of their personality would be good to note before hand, I know some dogs are wary of certain genders and certain types of other dogs, or maybe they tend to go chase a rabbit at a certain corner of a field. And also how to calm them if they are upset, what they usually bark at and also things they usually want when trying to get my attention so I can understand their behaviour a bit better.
