Before watching any pet, it’s important for me to know a few key things to make sure I give them the best care possible. I’d like to know their daily routine, any medical conditions or medications, food preferences or allergies, how they get along with other animals or people, and any fears or behavioral quirks they might have. It’s also helpful to know their favorite toys, commands they respond to, and how they usually like to be comforted. The more I know, the better I can make them feel safe, happy, and right at home!
A typical day
When I watch pets, I love keeping them active, happy, and engaged! I’ll take dogs on walks or runs, play fetch or tug of war, and spend time outside if the weather’s nice. For more relaxed pets, I’ll brush them, or give them some quiet companionship. I always try to match the activity level and personality of each pet to make sure they’re comfortable and having a good time. Whether it’s playtime or downtime, I make sure they feel loved and cared for!
