Hello pet parents! Thanks for checking out my profile! Please note that I prefer message-based inquiries before booking meet-and-greets. Let’s get to know each other first! On that note… Hi! My name is Charlie, and I’m a lifelong lover of animals. From day one, I’ve had a special interest in animals and how they express their personalities. I grew up learning how to train and work with cats and dogs of all kinds, as well as participating in 4-H with other family pets. I’ve lived on a farm pretty much my whole life, and when I wasn’t working on the farm, I was working part-time jobs at pet stores and house-sitting numerous four-legged companions for friends and family. Over the course of my life, I’ve had the gift of being able to work with a variety of species, breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments of animals—all of which equips me with the knowledge I have today. Nowadays, I live with my family and offer my knowledge to help pet parents as a reliable service for house sitting, boarding, and more! When you book with me, I offer specialized, personal care for your pets, including those with special needs. If you’d like to know how I can help your pet specifically, I encourage you to message me. I’d love to help your fuzzy friend to find a home away from home! **Please be aware that I only take one (1) booking at a time as I prefer to give 100% of my attention to a client at a time. I highly recommend Charlie for pet sitting. He had our 2 fur babies, for a in home stay while we were gone on holidays for 9 days. He was very trust worthy, and clean. Took great care of all the pups needs. Our 1 dash hound takes meds. Loved the daily pix and updates. You can tell he loves animals, and my boys really took to him.
Charlie connects with all animals he cares for, giving them the best attention he possibly can. He has watched my animals, including walks, feeding and some training as well. Very knowledgeable and understands my babies needs even without me telling him. He is ethical in how he treats animals and uses positive reinforcement and love. Charlie is your guy for all things animal care!!! Definitely would hire him again!
As my son, it is easy as a parent to say plenty of positives about Charlie's upbringing. He was raised around animals of all kinds, participated in 4H, horse riding lessons, dog handling clinics, and has raised his own special needs cat very knowledgeably. He has learned a lot about animal behavior and needs growing up in an animal-focused family. In addition to those attributes, Charlie on his own has a good sense with animals. He is a keen observer, and picks up on body language and is able to treat animals appropriately. Those things can only be taught so much. The rest is natural ability, and Charlie has it in spades. He is wise beyond his years, and I am very proud to have seen him use his good nature with animals, keen observations, and respect for the owners. Everyone who has hired Charlie wants him back again. I trust Charlie with all our animals here on the farm, and to farm-sit anytime,without hesitation.

Other than occasional farm work and clientele on Rover, I have no other current occupations that conflict with my schedule. Curious about general availability? Safety, trust & environment
BOARDING: I have a securely fenced backyard for your dog to freely run and play in, as well as lots of free, private space for flexi-leash walking. I also have other dogs in the home who love to play with new furry friends, as well as my relaxed kitties who wander indoors. Additionally if needed, I do have plenty of spare puppy gear (leashes, beds, toys, etc) for your pup to use while here. HOUSE-SITTING: I believe very much in maintaining a pet’s home life and routine, so I may ask you at a meet-and-greet for a “cheat sheet” or a schedule, that way I have a quick reference to rely on when adapting to their lifestyle while you are away.

A typical day
I love to tailor each experience to the individual, but a typical day with your pet can include: frequent walks and outdoor time, specialized play (fetch, tug-of-war, scent work, etc), chewies/treats, attentive care to the animals needs and feelings, lots of snuggles, trips to the lake (when weather permits, with permission), and more!

- Please let me know ahead of time if your pet requires special care or attention—even fun quirks that make life more interesting! Additionally, it’s important for me to know if your dog has any specific struggles that you would like me to look out for (sight or mobility issues, pain, anxieties, poor leash behaviour, etc). **IMPORTANT TO NOTE: I cannot accept boarding requests for pets that are aggressive or volatile towards cats, as I have two. It is for both my animals’ safety and yours. Thank you for your understanding.
