Pet care experience

I specialize in Challenging dogs

I can walk any dog but I like the hard to handle types that most people avoid. I have two large powerful breeds of my own and appreciate helping people who have a hard time finding someone suitable to handle large or aggressive breeds. I prefer the “ruff” crowd but I take on all comers.

Doggy Day Care • Juli 13, 2026

Charlie was great! He communicated well with me before the dropoff for my dogs, and he sent me pictures of them throughout the day. He secured their play area to ensure they didn't sneak out and was just lovely to talk to. If we lived near Charlie I'd certainly use him again, and I would recommend him to anyone in the White Salmon area. It was wonderful to be able to leave my dogs and know they were safe, happy, and cared for while my family and I attempted white water rafting. :)

Charlie was amazing and has a beautiful piece of land that our boy roamed on for two days. Would definitely have Sonny stay there again!! Highly recommend.

We never had to leave our dog with a stranger and were a bit apprehensive trusting someone we met on a website to care for our German Shepherd "family member". It's only natural to think that no one will care for our pet like we do. After making a preliminary visit to Charlie's place, it was obvious that he has a lot of experience and insight with dog needs and behavior. Our dog is a high energy, high drive four year old that is used to running our acreage and getting a lot of exercise. While she rules the forest animals, she can be submissive and intimidated by other strong dogs. We were concerned about leaving her with multiple other dogs. Charlie introduced the other dogs slowly so that it wouldn't be overwhelming and took the time to observe her comfort level, waiting until she was ready to meet the others. Charlie takes the dogs on hikes around his property multiple times a day as well as bringing them out to play with the other dogs or chase balls. Charlie also sent photos and videos to keep us updated and show what a good time our dog was having. He also managed the special dietary needs for our dog while she stayed there. We will definitely bring our dog back to stay with Charlie.

Our 1.5 year old Dobi had so much fun at Charlie’s! After her weekend getaway I think she’d rather live with him and his pack than with us :) Highly recommend!

Really happy about the care my pooch received from Charlie. I was pretty nervous about leaving my old gal for so long and with other dogs (she has not always been great with other dogs), and I was impressed with Charlie's deep understanding of not just my dog but the other dogs in his care. My only complaint is that my pooch didn't seem to care that much when I got home 😂 I think she misses Charlie's farm!

Schedule

I work out of a home shop and I am home 22 out of 24 hours each day. I live in a rural area with direct access to trails and logging roads. We have a well fenced dog yard and completely fenced pasture for off leash play as needed. I care full time for 3 dogs on the property. We walk/hike for 1.5-2hrs per day minimum. I also Care for dogs at my other home In The Dalles when I have fewer dogs on the schedule. Or if that location is more convenient for client drop offs.
