Safety, trust & environment
I do not do boarding at my own house as my current living situation is not conducive, but can come to your house multiple times in one day for long walks or periodic drop-ins as well as long term house stays. I am a huge fan of walking and don't mind dogs that need that extra time to go to the bathroom or just prefer to smell for a while. I also feel comfortable administering pills to dogs and cleaning up household accidents or pee pads. I have no problem with complicated feeding routines, multi-animal households, upholding standards you have set in training, or accommodating for your pet if they struggle with reactivity or anxiety.
Information Charlie D. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know anything important or even a little bit interesting about your pet! All animals are individuals and I want to know how to best respect their personalities and needs, no matter how silly or small they might be. I personally have experience with reactive dogs (specifically leash related), herding breeds and all of their weird quirks, special needs dogs, puppies, and seniors.
A typical day
I will play with your pet and take your dog on long walks to smell and see things in their neighborhoods. I also will reinforce any training commands you have with treats or words to keep them enriched and excited.

Flexible Time & Experience :)
Pet care experience
I have worked in a professional environment with dogs that required extensive knowledge of behavior and proper handling skills, leaving me with qualifications and a lot of experience. Besides professional expertise with dogs; I have personally owned many cats, a rabbit, a rescued ferret with a skin condition problems, guinea pigs, and an aquarium of Platy fish and snails. I currently own a 4 yr old Shetland Sheepdog named Basil, who I have raised since puppyhood, and also help care for my mother-in-law's 8 yr old Blue Heeler mix that I live with. I also help care for our family cat as well. Both through ownership and work, I have experience with puppies working their way through potty training and elderly dogs with special needs. I have also worked as an animal hand on a backyard farm with goats, ducks, and pigs. I have yet to be booked for any drop-ins or sits for small mammals (bunnies and ferrets especially) or exotic animals, but really would love to receive a request! Fingers crossed!
Reviews

I could tell that my dogs were in excellent hands with Charlie! I received many pictures and updates. Thank you Charlie!!
Charlie D. cancelled a booking 4 days before it was scheduled to begin.

This was our first time using a pet sitter for our pup who is pretty spoiled and routine driven. Charlie seemed to do fine with all of Sage's needs. She updated us regularly with pics and little anecdotes. She left the house in great shape as well. Thanks Charlie for helping us out with Sage.

Charlie was amazing. Took great care of my baby girl and sent lots of pics. I really appreciate how responsive she was and I highly recommend her!
