Very experienced, reliable dog care
I'm new to Rover and offering lower rates for a limited time! I grew up with dogs and absolutely love being around them! In a past life I traveled across the country as a dogsitter. Now that I'm in a more predictable work routine, I'm excited to care for some of the pups in my own neighborhood. While I feel comfortable caring for many different breeds, I have the following specialties: - I am accustomed to managing the high energy output of cattle dogs and other 'working' breeds. If your dog enjoys going on long walks or runs, they'll be in great hands! - I have experience with the unique care needs of greyhounds, including managing arthritis and preventing GDV/bloating. I understand the importance of taking greyhounds' health risks seriously, and have a record of providing top-notch care to this breed. - Caring for the needs of aging dogs is another point of pride for me. Administering medication and dietary needs, and fulfilling exercise and play needs without overexertion are two of the areas that I focus on when caring for elderly pups.

Taking dogs for a walk is my favorite part of the day! I know that each dog has different preferences and tendencies when on the leash, which is why I am experienced with walking harnesses and slip leads. I would also love to hear about your pup's friendliness level towards dogs and people and whether they prefer quiet streets or busy parks. Regardless of how your dog likes to be walked, I understand how vital regular exercise and time outside can be for a dog's quality of life, which is why I prioritize reliability.

We had a great experience with Charlie! He took care of our high-energy pit mix for a long weekend and did a great job managing his routine and giving him the attention and care he needs. Charlie was communicative, responsible, and left our house clean. We would definitely use him again if given the opportunity!
Charlie is great! He has been a dog-walker and pet-sitter for my dog Shelby for years. Charlie is reliable and confirms all details so I always feel confident that Shelby will be well cared for! While he watches Shelby, he makes sure he provides her with enrichment activities and keeps her engaged throughout his stay by playing with her and taking her for walks. I love that he takes photos of Shelby on her adventures and sends them to me! I highly recommend Charlie!
Charles (Charlie) has watched my high energy 6 year old dutch shepherd many times while I am away on business travel. Rocky gets extremely excited when Charlie come over for those stays. He is our go to dog sitter and has also walked Rocky for me regularly on days when I have to be in the office all day. He comes over during the lunch hour to bring Rocky on a nice walk to break up the day so Rocky is not inside the house all day. This helps give me peace of mind that Rocky will get some exercise in the middle of the day with a responsible person who really likes dogs. I highly recommend Charlie as a dog sitter, dog walker, or as someone to stop in a play with the dog during the middle of the day.
