Pet care experience

Happy tails out in the country

I’ve had dogs and cats for over 20 years. The dogs stay in the house with us and we have have 2 fenced areas where they can run and play. Dogs sleep in our house with us uncrated, unless you request them to be crated at night, or if they exhibit destructive or aggressive behavior or create potty messes at night.

Charity was absolutely wonderful with our little dog, Raina. She boarded our dog at her home for almost 3 weeks, and took extra care to introduce Raina slowly and carefully to the environment and certain other dogs there that she would get along with. Charity has a lot of experience boarding and managing multiple dogs, and she was careful to keep Raina to certain parts of her home and property that would be appropriate for her. She sent us pictures and updates almost every day while we were gone, and communicated with us right away whenever we sent an inquiry. She gave us lots of information and it was clear that our little girl was getting lots of love and attention. This was the first time we had trusted Raina to anyone other than close family or friends, and I'm happy to say Charity exceeded our hopes and expectations for dog care. We will definitely use her again in the future if her availability permits. I recommend Charity wholeheartedly. She cared for our dog as if she was her own. Thank you!!!

Schedule

I’m usually home as I am working on various projects on my property. It’s important to understand that I’m not “in business” as a dog boarding company. I sit dogs in my home because I love dogs and it helps me and my sons to earn a little extra. Please think of us as a family who is happy to help when you want a loving family caring for your dog in their home, instead of a professional dog boarding business (with paid staff, protocols, and more rigid safety measures in place). We run a home, not a dog boarding business. If your dog is friendly and not destructive you are welcome to request a stay for your dog in our home. With this in mind I have set hours to protect our time as a family. Please request specific drop-off & pick-up times between 7am & 7pm For daycare I try to be more accommodating to work schedules, so we can discuss the times that meet your needs and fit in with our home-life.

Has 1 dog

Safety, trust & environment

I have one large fenced area and one smaller fenced area and 25 acres to walk the dogs. I spend time playing with the dogs and sometimes work on basic training skills. Depending on the dog, they will spend time in the house, or outside fenced areas, on the gated front porch. I have a trail through the main fenced area and I also have walking trails on my property.

Pets

A typical day

We rise and shine at 6:30 am, go out for a potty break, morning feeding, and then play time. We have outside play in fenced areas if the weather is nice. We will take leashed walks on the trails on our property, weather permitting. Playtime with my dog and other dogs will bring fun and excitement, but we can take a break from that if the dogs are over-stimulated. Evening meal is between 5 and 6 pm and bedtime is around 9pm. Our guests receive lots of love and attention. My 18 year old son, also helps me with any “guests” we have.
