We are a homeschool family, so I will be with your beloved pet all day and able to meet their needs immediately. I love to play outside and visit parks for dogs who like to take long walks. I can't wait to treat your pet like a part of the family!

We have a sunroom that is all set up for your pet to make his own. At night, there is a large crate that can be used if preferred or free range of the sunroom is up to your pet. The sunroom has a full wall of sliding doors, making them feel like the outside had been brought in. For smaller animals, such as cats, there is a room set aside where they can get use to the new space and take their time to come out and free range the house when they are comfortable. Plenty of dog and cat toys are also available. We do have our own older cat, who is friendly with other cats as he had a little sister and also very familiar with dogs, usually ignoring them. Your pet can also join us in the rest of the house during the day and will get plenty of outside time. We do not have a fenced in yard, but we have a long leash for being outside safely, giving them free range for most of the large yard. We also love to go on walks around our quiet neighborhood. We do have three younger children (9-2), who love to play with animals, having all grown up with dogs and cats. Since I am at home all day, except for errands or field trips, it is easy to accommodate any feeding or medication schedule that your pet is used too. As well as making sure they have plenty of exercise, play time, and all the affection they can handle.

Are they good with young children and other pets? Please let me know what your animals' favorite toys are, treats, and places to be pet. Is there something they preferer not to do or have done to them, such as a spot they prefer to not have touched? Are they very social or like to spend more time in a quiet room? I can provide either. What is their temperament? Do they have any special needs, such as medication or a car ride will calm them down? Do they prefer long walks, short walks, or runs? What's an ideal day for your pet?
A typical day
I love to help dogs learn and have fun. I will take lot of walks around the neighborhood to sniff out all the great new smells. It is very calm and an easy walk. There are local parks with hiking trials, one with a lake run, and dog parks we can attend for additional stimulation and socializing, if you would like. There are also several toys to throw, play tug of war, and treat toys to stimulate their minds. Cuddles, hugs, and ran and stomach rubbings are given all day long.

Pet care experience
I have owned several pets, including a miniature collie, a mut, purebred Lab, purebred German Shepherd, three cats, two parakeets, and several guinea pigs. I have watched over several friends' pets over the years as well, both having them come and stay with me and visiting them at their home. I love getting to know them all and their unique personalities. I have trained several dogs to do tricks and necessities, such as crate training. I have grown up around animals and raised most of them through all stages of their lives. Most of our own dogs and cats were rescues, some from very young and others older, so I understand that some have special needs to make them feel comfortable and of course they each have their own personality that is always fun to learn and mesh with. I've also moved with animals and are used to the needs of getting familiar with someplace new and helping a pet to feel comfortable. I look forward to helping your pet feel like part of the family.

Charissa, Shawn and family, provided EXCEPTIONAL care for our boy. He had such a great time that all he wanted to do was nap when he got home. (Which is fantastic as he is a high energy boy!) They had to navigate losing power to a horrible storm and yet still kept him safe and cool and provided updates as they could. It really felt like leaving him with family! 10/10 will book again!
